For anyone who hasn’t been to Disney World before, planning the trip can be a bit daunting. There’s so much to consider like plane tickets, park tickets, Genie+, and when the best time to go is. We’ve realized that people tell straight-up lies when they’re giving advice on how to “do Disney.” We’re here today to expose those lies!
Usually, people don’t put the word “relaxing” and Disney World in the same sentence.

There is so much to do, and so many people, and we know families are not always the most relaxing to be around on a Disney trip. But we at DFB have come up with a list of the best ways to relax at Disney World, because contrary to beliefs, it is possible.
We’ve been seeing a lot of updates at Disney’s resorts!
Beach Club Resort
Disney’s Polynesian Village Resort, Disney’s Grand Floridian Resort, and Disney’s Boardwalk Inn have all been seeing some recent updates and construction. There is one other Disney resort that was recently under construction and the updates in the lobby have finally been revealed!
Disney is hosting a huge event for Disney fans to get a glimpse into the company.

That’s right, we’re talking about Destination D23. This fan convention is taking place this from September 8th through the 10th at Walt Disney World’s Contemporary Resort. This is where Disney executives give a peek into all the things going on at Disney, from the parks to the movies. At the event, there are scheduled panels where Disney often reveals new information about what’s to come. We have 5 things we are HOPING to hear announced at those panels!

Fantasy Springs is Tokyo DisneySea’s eighth port, and soon there will be THREE new lands within it! We have all the information that has been confirmed for each of these three lands!
A new land has opened in Disney’s California Adventure Park!
It’s officially open!
San Fransokyo Square — a Big Hero 6 re-theming of the Pacific Wharf area — officially opened on August 31st, 2023. We had already seen some new eats and drinks arrive at restaurants in the area ahead of the official opening date, but now a rethemed/updated restaurant is open and we’re here to give you a review on a few menu items you’ll find there!

Gideon’s Bakehouse
Gideon’s Bakehouse is a small bakery in Disney Springs that serves up some wildly delicious treats. Each month, the bakehouse offers limited-time specialty treats, and since it’s September 1st, the September goodies have been announced!
You can certainly find some cute Disney merchandise in the parks and online.
Inside Island Mercantile
Between new Minnie ears, new bags, and new clothes, you can find lots of cute Disney items. But these NEW Disney items are some of the CUTEST things we’ve seen in a while!
Marvel’s new show Loki became very popular when it debuted in 2021!

Fans cannot wait for season two to come out (on October 6th!), and even McDonald’s is celebrating the big release! The fast food chain included some specialty Loki-themed meals on their menu as part of their “As featured in” series, but now there’s an even BIGGER collab happening between Loki and the Golden Arches.
There are so many places to pick from for where you will get your next meal in Disney World.
Animal Kingdom
Animal Kingdom is loved for its great access to wild animals on the Kilimanjaro Safaris, its amazing views in Pandora, and the fun characters you can meet there! However, Animal Kingdom is not necessarily known for its food like EPCOT, but you might be surprised at the unique options it does have!
