In response to the Coronavirus outbreak, Disney World’s parks will not be opening today along with all the rest of the Disney parks across the world.

And while Disney World’s theme parks have been forced to temporarily close in the past before (mostly due to hurricanes), its Hotels have decided to remain open until 5 PM on March 20th, but are cancelling some of their normal operations in the meantime.

But even though the Disney World theme parks will be closing after Sunday, there’s a silver lining! Disney Springs hasn’t announced any plans to close in light of recent events, so if you’re looking for a quick Disney fix, you’ll still be able to enjoy the shops and restaurants of Disney World’s entertainment district!

It’s a bittersweet day here at Magic Kingdom as things begin to wind down for Disney World’s temporary closure happening at end of day Sunday.

UPDATED! Disney World and Disneyland Closure Questions Answered!

When Disney officials announced Disneyland and Disney California Adventure would be closing Saturday, March 14th, it was only a few hours later that Disney World also made the decision to shut down its theme parks at the end of day Sunday, March 15th. While the parks were originally supposed to reopen April 1st, Disneyland and Disney World have both decided to extend their closures indefinitely. UPDATE: Disney World began a phased reopening of the theme parks on July 11th.

Even if you’ve been following along with our coverage of how the global health crisis has been impacting Disney parks across the world, now that all the Disney parks and the Disney Cruise Line are closed, you might be at a loss for words, while also having more questions than you can possibly ask.
