We Officially Know When This Closed Disney World Location Will Reopen

There have been a lot of closure announcements for Disney World! However, we FINALLY learned when a closed experience will be reopening.

It’s Tough to Be a Bug closed back on March 17th, and Disney has been hard at work transforming the area into a BRAND-NEW show. We have been eagerly awaiting an opening date that is more precise than “winter 2025,” and we officially have that date!

Disney shared quite a bit of Disney World news yesterday, including a first look at the Muppets retheme of Rock ‘n’ Roller Coaster and a look at the “new magic” coming to Big Thunder Mountain Railroad. But that is not all; we also got the official opening date for the brand-new show coming to the Tree of Life Theater in Disney’s Animal Kingdom!

Magic Kingdom’s NEW Pirates of the Caribbean-themed lounge is opening SOON, and Disney just gave us another look at the food and drink that will be coming to this new dining location. We have been eagerly anticipating the opening of The Beak and Barrel, and we are just over a week away from its grand opening on August 29th, 2025.

I Am a Disney Grandma at Heart – These Are the Unspoken Rules I Follow in Magic Kingdom

Hello, hi! I am a self-proclaimed grandma at heart at the ripe age of 29. I am also a Disney adult who loves spending my free time at Disney World. What exactly constitutes a grandma at heart? Well, there isn’t exactly one definition, but for me, I enjoy living a slower life. I am almost always in bed by 9 PM and up before 7 AM. The club life is not the life for me, and I much prefer quieter settings. I would also be perfectly content sitting in a rocking chair and watching the world go by for hours. Plus, crafting is always a yes for me!

While Disney World is generally a fairly chaotic place, I think there is something for just about anyone to enjoy! NEWS: Reservation Date Announced for Disney’s NEW Pirate Lounge at Magic Kingdom — Beak and Barrel

A BRAND-NEW lounge is opening in Disney World soon! We have been eagerly awaiting the grand opening of The Beak and Barrel on August 29th, 2025. However, it has been rough seas for reservations for this highly anticipated tavern themed to the classic Pirates of the Caribbean attraction.

Reservations were initially supposed to open on August 14th, but the reservation system crashed, and we spent most of the day hoping we could get in. Later in the day, though, Disney confirmed that reservations would not be opening on August 14th as expected and instead would open during the week of August 18th. A bit vague, but now we know EXACTLY when reservations will be opening for The Beak and Barrel!
