Disneyland Resort is making a BIG change to its reservation policy!

Effective June 6, 2024, Disneyland Resort has updated its policies for Vacation Packages and Room Only reservations, so if you have or are planning a trip to Disneyland Resort, there are a few things you should know!
Big things are happening at the Magic Kingdom soon and the possibilities of what those changes can bring could be endless!
Magic Kingdom
Back in 2022 at the D23 Expo (Disney’s fan convention), Disney announced that an expansion would be coming to the Magic Kingdom at Disney World using the term “Beyond Big Thunder” which is now commonly used to refer to said expansion. Focusing on using a space that is currently on the other side of the park’s railroad tracks, this expansion would add a new land with experiences and attractions themed after some modern and classic favorites. Some of those experiences could also be new restaurants and we have some that we would LOVE to see added and if we don’t get at least one…well, let’s just say our foodie hearts would be broken.

We have been looking forward to this new extension of one of our favorite resorts for a while now, and with reservations available to be booked for all guests, the excitement is even more real! But how much are we looking at price-wise when booking a stay at The Island Tower? We have all the need-to-know info just for you!

Now, this is not a dig at Slinky Dog Dash the ride (trust us, we love it!) but it is a dig at the ride’s queue. With rides being a big part of stepping into the magic of Disney movies and experiences, ride queues are inevitable to experience during your trip. We’re Disney Food Blog, so of course we’re always writing about Disney World in Florida and Disneyland in California. But, the truth is, we love theme parks in general! The Island Tower is the latest and greatest addition coming soon to Disney’s Polynesian Villas & Bungalows at Walt Disney World Resort. Currently still under construction (pardon their pixie dust if you’re happening by the resort), this tropical treasure is set to welcome guests in December 2024, although the exact debut remains under wraps. Along with this exciting news, we’ve got word of available booking dates that will hold us over as we excitedly anticipate this new extension of the Polynesian Resort’s paradise!
