Earlier this year, Potion Purple hit the Disney scene. While several items and even treats were released to celebrate the hue, the stars of the line are the Potion Purple Minnie Ears and the Potion Purple Spirit Jersey. With the release of Potion Purple, Disney hinted that new flash colors would debut on popular Disney items throughout the year. And now we know what’s next…

Rafiki’s Planet Watch in Disney’s Animal Kingdom has been closed since October for a refurbishment. Disney has announced that this space will reopen this summer, including a few new enhancements.
Rafiki’s Planet Watch will still include the Affection Section and guests will be able to get to and from the space by traveling on the Wildlife Express. [Read more…]
Even if the specific name of “Disney’s Walk Around the World” doesn’t ring a bell with you, you may still be quite familiar with the sight of the hexagonal bricks displaying names and celebrating family milestones on the walkways surrounding Magic Kingdom and the Ticket and Transportation Center (the TTC).
As “improvements are being made to how you come and go at all four Walt Disney World Resort theme parks,” Disney has announced that the reconfiguring of walkways and tram loading and unloading zones (along with enhancements to security screening) will result in the retiring of the Walk Around the World bricks in the coming months. A new film experience is coming to Epcot: “Awesome Planet” has just been announced for the The Land Pavilion!
Awesome Planet will be “an on-screen exploration of the realm we call home,” and “showcases the spectacular beauty, diversity and dynamic story of our earth with all the grandeur guests have come to expect.” [Read more…]
As the transformation of Disney’s Hollywood Studios progresses with last year’s opening of Toy Story Land and Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge opening on August 29, 2019, there are other changes surrounding the park in anticipation of greater crowd levels.
Two of these changes making their debut today are new Disney transportation bus loops ready to offer lots of shade to waiting guests. And, of course, you can also make out the upcoming Disney Skyliner gondolas in this photo which are currently in testing phase: [Read more…]

The Disney Wine & Dine Half Marathon Weekend will take place October 31 – November 3, and 2019 marks the 10th Anniversary for the runDisney event! Registration opens tomorrow (March 19 at 10 AM EST), and Disney has announced some enhancements to the race weekend in advance of registration.
Disney Fall Feast 5K participants will receive a tech shirt this year, as do the 10K, Half Marathon, and Challenge racers. Also the 5K will make its way to Epcot this year! [Read more…]
