When thinking about Disney World hotels and places to stay, we don’t see Disney’s Coronado Springs Resort getting a lot of love. Maybe it’s because this resort is targeted more towards convention goers, or maybe it’s because it’s not perceived as exciting as some of Disney’s other moderate resorts. However, we might argue that you’re missing out if you don’t consider Coronado Springs for your next stay.
This hotel has a clear Latin influence, with a blend of Spanish, Mexican, and Southwest American cultures that you’ll see in the hotel’s decor and architecture. We recently stayed in a Tower room in the Gran Destino Tower at Coronado Springs…and let’s just say this $400 hotel room feels like it could have cost a whole lot more.
So, let’s take a tour of this hotel room, shall we?
We stayed in a Tower Room with Resort View. This specific class of room has a view of the courtyard, landscaping, or parking lots with two queen beds. It’s designed to sleep up to four adults. As you can see, this room looks pretty bougie with elegant and understated decor, and it’s obvious that these rooms were designed with business travelers in mind.
Each bed comes with four comfy pillows, so you can find the perfect pillow to help you sleep well when you’re not racing around the theme parks.
On the bed closest to the door is a full-length mirror.
Between the beds, you’ll find a table with a phone, lamp, and a card with hotel-specific details. Notice the bell details on the lamp.
Note that there are small reading lamps by each bed.
The room also has a large window with curtains. The curtains have a Spanish-themed design.
This resort view room gave us a view of the parking lot. It’s still not a bad view, though, because you can see SO FAR throughout Disney World!
Across from the bed, in the far corner, you’ll find a comfy seat with a small table and lamp.
This is also where you’ll find the Disney Alexa device for the Hey, Disney voice assistant.
Next to that is the counter and drawers underneath the TV area with spaces for storage, as well as a trash and recycling bin.
Need to do some work? You’ll find some empty table space and a chair set up nearby.
Of course, you’ve got a big TV to watch Disney TV on!
Next to that, underneath the counter space, is a beverage cooler.
Above the beverage cooler, you’ll find a coffee maker, coffee, tea, and more, along with an ice bucket and cups.
You’ll find some pretty artwork on the walls.
You’ll find a thermostat nearby.
The closet is in the little hallway that leads into the main part of the room. Inside, you’ll find hangers and garment bags.
The top shelf has an extra pillow and blanket.
The closet also includes an ironing board…
…and iron.
A luggage rack is also folded up inside the closet.
The closet is also where you’ll find the safe if you need a place to store valuables.
Okay, let’s check out the bathroom!
It features a huge mirror.
You’ll find soap and body lotion amenities on the counter beneath the mirror. We bet you can smell that soap right now!
You also get mouthwash, a shower cap, and a vanity kit with cotton swabs, cotton pads, and a nail file.
This counter has two sinks. Also, look at that fun tile design. LOVE IT.
Towels are hanging on the far wall.
If you need tissues, you’ll find them here.
More towels are under the sinks.
You’ll also find extra towels on the shower/bathtub door.
A nice, high, and wide shower head is inside the shower. You’ll also find a handheld showerhead.
Shampoo, conditioner, and body wash are attached to the wall in dispensers.
The bathroom has another trash bin.
The toilet is in its own little separate area in the bathroom for privacy.
So if you’re looking for a stay that’s a little different — and feels more upscale — than Disney’s other moderate resorts, you might want to consider booking a Tower Room at Coronado Springs.
We’ll keep giving you details about EVERYTHING Disney World, so stay tuned to DFB for more.
