Where should you stay when you visit Disney World?
Well, there are often two very different opinions, depending on who you ask. Many will tell you that you should stay at a Disney World hotel on-property so you can stay within the Disney bubble. However, some Disney World visitors prefer staying off-site to save money. Well, if you’re considering a stay at an off-site hotel, you might want to consider the Disney Springs area hotels, which have a lot of the same conveniences as a Disney-owned hotel. We’re going to give you a tour of one of those hotels right now, Holiday Inn Orlando.
Holiday Inn Orlando in Disney Springs is within walking distance of Disney Springs and comes with many of the same benefits you can get if staying at a Disney-owned hotel, including Early Theme Park Entry and shuttles every hour to all four of Disney World’s theme parks. In fact, the hotel is proud of the fact that it is one of the top 25 Holiday Inns in the U.S. and ranks in the top 3% of hotels in Orlando on TripAdvisor. So let’s go inside.
While you’re walking around inside the hotel, you’ll see some Disney-inspired artwork, including this EPCOT mural. So, although you still get that feeling that you’re staying within the Disney “bubble.”
The hotel also comes with a lot of great amenities, including free WiFi throughout the hotel, a 24-hour Fitness Center…
…a 24-hour computer station, a game room…
…ATM…
…guest laundry…
…zero-entry pool…
…whirlpool hot tub, and more.
As far as dining goes, if you don’t feel like walking to Disney Springs, you can enjoy coffee in the lobby from 6 AM to 11:30 AM, as well as afternoon cookies and lemonade from 4 PM to 6 PM. You can also dine at the Palm Breezes Restaurant and Lounge for breakfast, lunch, and dinner.
Did we mention that kids can eat free? Kids 11 and under can get breakfast, lunch, and dinner in the restaurant for FREE as long as they’re ordering from the kids’ menu and are accompanied by at least one adult who is also dining in the restaurant. Oh, and YES, there are Mickey waffles for breakfast.
Just need a quick snack? There’s a little area in the hotel where you can quickly grab some snacks and drinks to go.
So, let’s take a look at one of the rooms. A variety of room types are available, including 2 queen beds and 2 king beds. You can also choose a Disney World fireworks view room, a pool view room, a standard view room, or a Disney Springs view room. All rooms come with their own Keurig coffee maker, microwave, and large HDTV.
There’s also a work desk with a power dock.
A laptop-sized in-room safe is also available, as well as an iron and ironing board.
Here’s a look at the bathroom, which features a huge vanity mirror, sink area, toilet, and bathtub/shower.
So if you’re looking for a place to stay in the Disney Springs area, you might want to consider Holiday Inn Orlando. We’ll be getting you details on ALL the Disney Springs area hotels, so stay tuned to DFB for more.
