SNEAK PEEK at What Is Coming to Disney's Biggest Fan Event of the Year

Are you ready to experience the ULTIMATE Disney fan event? If the answer is “yes,” you may have plans to attend D23: The Ultimate Disney Fan Event, where you can have a chance to meet other Disney fans, shop for exclusive Disney merchandise, attend some fun panels, and learn more about Disney’s upcoming plans for movies, parks, and more.

D23: The Ultimate Disney Fan Event takes place on August 14th, 15th, and 16th in Anaheim, CA, and Disney just released new details about what we can expect from this year’s event. So let’s take a look!

The 2026 D23: Ultimate Fan Event will include all kinds of exciting content from Disney, Pixar, Star Wars, and Marvel. There will be special retail locations, activities, live-streamed panels, and presentations. Tickets go on sale on April 2nd, with early releases for select D23 Members.

Before the event even officially starts, there will be a D23 Day at Disneyland Resort on Thursday, August 13th. It will include the giveaway of complimentary Mickey Mouse ear hats (while supplies last), the return of Disney Jr. Let’s Play! Party, and “magical surprises.”

D23 Day (2024)

As far as what you can expect at D23, some fan-favorite offerings are returning, like the D23 Mousequerade: The Ultimate Disney Costume Contest, as well as “opportunities to get up close with the latest from Disney Experiences and Walt Disney Imagineering; dive into the worlds of Disney, Pixar, Marvel, Star Wars, and National Geographic; experience favorite movies and series with Disney+ and Hulu; and explore the very best of Disney shopping, products, and more.”

D23: The Ultimate Disney Fan Event

New offerings include the premiere of a new feature-length documentary from acclaimed filmmaker Leslie Iwerks, giving a peek inside Disney from her unique lens. Also, Mundo Pixar: The D23 Experience will feature life-size sets of favorite Pixar films, ESPN and the Road to the Super Bowl will showcase the intersection of sports and entertainment, and there will be activations for fans of Bluey, Camp Rock 3, and The Simpsons. Mickey Mouse will even have a special display with a Formula 1 car.

Another first-of-its-kind experience will be the Disney Lorcana Challenge Championship Qualifier. The winner will earn a seat at the 2027 Disney Lorcana North American Championship.

For Disney history buffs, Walt Disney Archives: Uncrated is a new exhibit that “invites intrepid fans to uncover an unforgettable journey into the vast and hidden warehouses of the Walt Disney Archives — spaces previously reserved for access to Disney archivists, alone.” You’ll be able to see iconic props, puppets, costumes, and more.
