If you’ve ever stayed at Disney’s Pop Century Resort, you already know why people love it.
The Skyliner access is clutch, the theming is pure nostalgia, and the rooms are some of the most practical on Disney property. But even with all those perks, there are a few small things that can make your stay go from “pretty great” to “why don’t I pack this every single time?” Because when you’re coming back from a long park day, the last thing you want is to deal with dead devices, messy suitcases, or struggling to fall asleep. We’ve rounded up a few simple items that can seriously upgrade your Pop Century stay.
Keep all your Apple devices charged in one spot
Even though Disney has updated a lot of its hotel rooms over the years, outlets can still feel surprisingly scarce once everyone starts plugging things in. Phones, smart watches, earbuds, portable chargers. It doesn’t take long before the nightstand looks like a tangled mess of cables. That’s why a 3-in-1 charging station is such a smart thing to pack. It lets you power your iPhone, Apple Watch, and AirPods all at once while only using a single outlet.
Everything charges wirelessly, so you’re not juggling multiple cords across the room. One of the best parts is how compact it is. Most of these chargers fold flat, which makes them ridiculously easy to toss into a carry-on or park bag. At the end of the night, you just drop your devices onto the stand, and you’re done. No outlet hunting required.
Charge multiple MagicBand+ devices at once
If you’re traveling with a group, keeping everyone’s MagicBand+ charged can get chaotic fast. One person finds an outlet, someone else needs it for their phone, and suddenly, you’re rotating bands throughout the night. A multi-charger made specifically for MagicBand+ can solve that problem instantly.
These chargers usually have several USB-A ports, which means you can power up multiple bands at the same time using the cords that came with them. Some even let you mix devices, so you could charge a couple of bands and still plug in a phone if needed. For families or friend groups, it keeps everything organized in one spot and makes sure nobody wakes up to a dead band before rope drop.
Add extra outlets with a flat plug power strip
If your travel crew brings a lot of electronics, a small power strip can be a total lifesaver in a Disney hotel room. A flat plug power strip is especially handy because it sits flush against the wall and works well with the sometimes awkwardly placed outlets in hotel rooms. Many of these include several regular outlets plus USB-A and USB-C ports, which means you can charge phones, portable batteries, watches, and other devices all at once. It’s a simple item, but it can completely eliminate the nightly charging shuffle that tends to happen in hotel rooms.
Sleep better with a portable white noise machine
Sleeping in a Disney hotel can be trickier than it sounds. Hallway noise, an overactive brain, whatever it is, falling asleep isn’t always easy. This little white noise machine is genuinely tiny, pocket-sized even, but it’s loaded with sound options: classic white noise, fan sounds, rain, ocean, and more. It’s a great tool for light sleepers and for anyone who just needs their brain to finally stop running through tomorrow’s park plan at midnight.
Try a sound machine that doubles as a night light
Another solid option if you want something with a bit more variety is this Soother Sound Machine. It’s got 30 different sounds, from waves and white noise to rain, piano, birds, and even train sounds. It also doubles as a multi-color night light, which is handy if you’re traveling with little ones who need a little something on in the room. Lots of options, small footprint.
Keep your room organized with a pop-up hamper
Living out of a suitcase sounds manageable at first, but after a couple of park days, hotel rooms can start looking chaotic. Clothes end up on chairs, socks mysteriously appear on the floor, and suddenly you’re not totally sure which pile is clean. A collapsible pop-up hamper can fix that instantly.
These lightweight hampers fold completely flat in your luggage and spring open as soon as you arrive at your hotel. The mesh design allows clothes to air out, which is especially helpful after those hot Florida park days. And when it’s time to pack up or do laundry, the built-in handles make everything easy to carry. It’s one of those small things that makes your room feel way more organized throughout your trip.
Pack a travel bathroom spray
Let’s be honest for a second. Most Disney hotel rooms mean one shared bathroom, and that can get awkward pretty quickly when you’re traveling with friends or family. A small bottle of bathroom spray can be surprisingly helpful. These sprays work before you go, creating a barrier in the toilet bowl that helps trap odors instead of trying to cover them afterward. The travel versions are tiny enough to fit in a toiletry bag or even a park backpack, and many scents smell fresh and clean without being overpowering. It might feel a little funny to pack at first, but once you have it in your hotel room, you’ll be very glad you did.
