As you know, there’s a ton of stuff happening at Disney World right now, especially at Disney’s Hollywood Studios!

Hollywood Studios
We just got a NEW look at the construction progress of Monsters Inc. Land, while work is moving fast with the Muppets Rock ‘n’ Rollercoaster. These two projects are pretty big, but don’t forget about the third big project, the Walt Disney Studios Courtyard, which looks like it will actually open VERY soon!

Disney recently announced Walt Disney Studios is officially opening on May 26th, 2026! We were skeptical at first, considering how soon that was and how much work had to be done. However, all of those doubts have been silenced after seeing this construction update on the new area.

Thanks to @bioreconstruct, we have new aerial construction footage of Walt Disney Studios Courtyard. We obviously can’t see the inside, but the concrete and ground outside are almost complete. This aerial photo shows the development of The Walt Disney Studios Courtyard, near the Disney Jr show.

Check out this aerial photo of the construction at the entrance of The Magic of Animation. There’s going to be a Sorcerer’s Hat above the circle between the two recently repainted columns.

We also got this stunning overview shot from @bioreconsruct showing all the construction that is happening! We’re telling you, we weren’t sure if May made sense for an opening month, but now it’s looking very believable.

The new area is going to feature lots of cool character meet-and-greets, drawing classes led by an Olaf animatronic, a brand new Disney Jr. show, as well as an indoor playground themed to Mary Blair’s original concept art for Alice in Wonderland called “Drawn to Wonderland.” The playground will have an oversized flower garden with musical instruments, a Mad Tea Party playset, and a Tulgey Wood exploration area. There are going to be so many cool new experiences coming with this new section of the park.
