St. Patrick’s Day is right around the corner, and Disney Springs is the place you need to be!

St. Paddy’s at Raglan Road
Raglan Road is hosting The Mighty Festival once again this year, an annual tradition to celebrate the holiday, from March 13th-17th! The restaurant is going to be decked out in St. Patrick’s Day decor for the weekend and will be offering exclusive special dining options you can only get during the event. This is an event you MUST experience!
The Mighty Festival at Raglan Road has begun today, but we got the chance to preview it a day early. As soon as we walked in, the place was glimmering green. Maybe it was all of the souvenirs you can buy in the gift shop that stood out!

Speaking of, there will be exclusive merchandise available for everyone coming to Raglan Road during the festival. Check out this Raglan Road Bucket Hat…

…and there’s also this Mighty Festival T-Shirt. If you want either of these, you might need to be fast, because they could go quickly!

The special menu being offered is called the March Memories Menu. It features eight different options, including six dining options and two drinks.

March Memories Menu
We got to try a few of the new menu options, starting with the Ireland in a Spring Roll. The Ireland in a Spring Roll is described as a golden pastry filled with smoked Irish bacon and tender cabbage, served with a velvet red cabbage purée and a pickled vegetable salad. This is a delicious starter that is also the perfect size for a starter. Our sample came with one spring roll, but the normal starter will come with two spring rolls.

Ireland in a Spring Roll
Some appetizers can feel so heavy that you don’t even have enough room for your main dish. However, this one is a good enough portion that it still leaves you room for your entree. The spring roll is very flavorful. It’s soft, with a nice crunch on the outside. The purée on the bottom is a great addition, making the dish taste a little bit sweeter.

This was good!
Next, we tried the Chop Chop its Bacon, a chargrilled bacon chop, served with caramelized half cabbage, honey-glazed carrots, and creamy mashed potato. The dish is finished with a rich raisin cider and cider jus. A lot is going on for this thing, but it’s all good. The chargrilled bacon is delicious. It has a super savoury flavor, it’s firm, and is not too hard to eat. You can tell it was chargrilled, and we’re here for it. The rich raisin and cider sauce that is on it just enhances the savoury flavour all the more.

Chop Chop its Bacon
Just so you know, this isn’t your typical American bacon. This is like Canadian bacon, so basically ham. The mashed potatoes are very soft and creamy. It just basically melts in your mouth. The mashed potatoes aren’t overly salty, and they’re very rich in flavour. They have an almost buttery taste to them. The carrot was pretty sweet, so when they say honey glaze, they mean honey glaze. The carrots are pretty soft as well, making them super easy to chew. The cabbage wasn’t our favorite, but then again, if you like cabbage, you’ll probably like this. It’s sweet, and it’s very easy to cut into because it’s so soft.

This was delicious!
The Tri-Pies were three Irish pies, including shepherd’s pie with smoked mashed potatoes, traditional lamb hot pot with root vegetables and baby potatoes, and a golden pastry pie filled with chicken, leeks, and wild mushrooms.

Tri-Pies
The shepherd’s pie topped with the mashed potatoes was very good! The shepherd’s pie was very soft and creamy. The meat was tender and seasoned well. The mashed potatoes on top had a GREAT flavour.

Shepherd’s Pie
The traditional lamb hot pot was also really good. It was topped with potatoes that were cooked crispy, and then once you get through the potatoes, the inside of the dish was pretty tender. If you don’t like lamb, this is probably not the one for you, but it’s a good thing to try.

Traditional Lamb Hot Pot
The golden pastry pie was very firm on the outside, but once you broke into it, it had a soft middle. It does take some force to break into it, though. Just like the other two, this pie was super flavourful, and it’s unique.

Golden Pastry Pie
One of the desserts is the Brownie Dazed. The brownie is a delicious hot fudge brownie. This one was so extremely soft, almost mushy soft. It just squished so easily every time you tried to put your spoon into it.

Brownie Dazed
It also comes with a side of caramel sauce, so you can drizzle it on top. If you leave the caramel sauce for a little while on top of it, it starts to harden. The brownie also comes with ice cream, which just adds to the dessert. The brownie itself is very sweet, especially once you add the caramel onto it.

Brownie Dazed with caramel
There was also the Crumble at Will. Basically, picture a hard apple pie with a side of ice cream — that’s what this dessert was! The crust of the apple pie is very hard, making it very hard to break into. You can scoop out the apple pie in the middle and then eat the crust after if you want to. It’s almost easier that way, you might make a mess. This is really just your basic apple pie/apple tart, and ice cream — can’t go wrong with it.

Crumble at Will
For the drink, we HAD to try the Mint Bailey Shake. We don’t wanna compare it to a Shamrock Shake, but just picture a Shamrock Shake with Bailey’s in it. Obviously, it’s higher quality than a Shamrock Shake. It has a better mint flavor and doesn’t taste artificial. It’s not crazy sweet, which we really appreciated, and it’s not crazy minty to either. It’s a nice, refreshing dessert drink. It’s a really fun drink to get during this festival, and we think it’s a must-grab.
