Pin collecting and trading have been a big thing for Disney fans for as long as we can remember. There’s something special about collecting different Disney pins and trading them at the park amongst other fans and Cast Members. However, guests have had some words when it comes to the pin shopping experience online.

Lately, Disney fans have been giving feedback to Disney that they want the pin shopping experience to be better on the Disney Store. With the demand for pins increasing and the collecting culture getting bigger, changes need to be made to help the shopping experience improve. Well, Disney has heard the feedback, and it looks like a change is on the way!
The shopping experience for new pins released on the Disney Store can be crazy when limited-edition and exclusive pins are just released. Well, Disney reached out to say they’ve heard the requests and are working on changes to improve the pin-buying process.

The change will involve implementing new strengths that are going to be added to the system in the next couple of weeks. This will come in the form of safeguards being added that will require customers to log in before joining the queue to buy new pins when they drop. This will be a great change to help prevent misuse when it comes to grabbing those limited-edition pins.

This change is strictly to make sure they monitor the traffic so they’re reducing the misuse. Based on what they heard from shoppers, they want this to be a better and easier experience.

Limited-edition pins can go so fast, so it’s nice that Disney is listening to collectors on what needs to change in order to make the shopping experience better and fairer. Really if they’re going to do limited edition, year long collections, it should be on a subscription or some other method so that collectors aren’t forced to make 3rd party purchases at over 200% store price.
