Dining in Disney World can add up quickly, so when we find a bargin on a meal, we’re going to talk about it!
With price increases on hotel rooms, park tickets, Lightning Lanes, and food — our readers want to make their dollars stretch further in Disney World, so we do our best to keep you updated on the best places to make your budget work for you. That’s why we had to come remind you about the meal that will only cost you $12 at Disney World, plus it comes with a beer!
For this meal, you’re going to head to a restaurant that you might not have ever heard of at Disney World. It’s Chip ‘n’ Dale’s Cafe at Lake Buena Vista Golf Course at Disney’s Saratoga Springs Resort.
Here, you can score a hot dog deal that isn’t quite as good as Costco’s hot dog deal, but it’s pretty close, especially for Disney World. You can get a 1/4 lb All-beef Hot Dog for $7, but you can make it into a combo with chips and a fountain drink for $10. Even better? You can make it a combo with domestic beer for just $12.

Hot dog combo
So, obviously, we wanted to check out this inexpensive lunch, so we grabbed it — with a beer. The hot dog is pretty standard, as hot dogs go at Disney, but it’s possibly a bit bigger than what you would find at other dining spots in Disney World.
However, the combo is what really makes this such a good deal, especially if you want a refreshing beer to go with that hot dog.
One thing we found most surprising about this snack spot is that beer is generally cheaper here than at other restaurants throughout Disney World. You can get a 12oz Domestic Beer in a can for just $5. Not only that, but Dasani Bottled Water is just $2 here!

Our favorite way to ‘cheap-out’ is to know the table service restaurants with the lowest prices. We just love the break out of the hustle and bustle, and avoiding the pressure to find or leave a table. If you do your research and you like the menus, you can often find at least one table service restaurant in a park with entrees *almost* as affordable as the average quick service prices. But when it comes to quick service, our old favorite quick service was Tangerine Cafe, our new favorite is Regal Eagle. The offerings are more unique and finding a table is usually not a hassle.
This place is terrific. I got the Gourmet Grilled Cheese there the other day and it was amazing. Also, unlike other quick service locations, Chip and Dale’s honors the DVC discount.
But if you go there for the lunch, and you’re not staying there, don’t you have to pay for parking?
Also, could you mention whether restaurants at Disney Springs take Disney gift cards, even if they aren’t Disney owned? Thanks!
Hi Bert! Parking is free at Disney Resorts for up to three hours. I’m happy to report that the majority of restaurants at Disney Springs will accept Disney Gift Cards, but it’s always a good idea to have some kind of backup payment just in case you land in one that doesn’t accept it because there is no official list. Always ask the restaurant up front if they will accept the gift card, however.
