Let’s be real, figuring out what bag to bring to Disney World is always a struggle.
You want something big enough to hold your essentials but not so massive that you’re sweating buckets halfway through the day. I’ve tried the full backpack route, and honestly? It’s too much. Belt bags are cute, but they don’t always hold everything I need. So when I stumbled across this $8 sling bag on Amazon, I figured it was worth a shot. Spoiler alert: I might never go back to my old park bag setup.
The EVANCARY Small Sling Bag is basically the middle ground I didn’t know I needed. It’s compact without being tiny, measuring just over 11 inches tall, but still roomy enough for the essentials. Phone, card holder, portable charger, sunglasses, hand sanitizer, and a snack bar. It all fits without that overstuffed look.
The material is water-resistant nylon, which is a huge plus in Florida. Afternoon rain showers don’t care about your cute park aesthetic. It also feels sturdy and scratch-resistant, so I’m not worried about tossing it in a stroller basket or setting it down at a quick-service table.
Pockets That Actually Make Sense
You know how some small bags technically have pockets, but they’re useless? Not here. There are multiple compartments, including a hidden pocket that sits flat against your body. I used that one for my ID and extra cash, and I loved not having to stress in long attraction lines or crowded walkways.
Everything has its place, which means no digging around while the Cast Member is waiting for you to tap in. We’ve all been there.
It’s Comfortable Enough for a 20,000-Step Day
The strap is adjustable, which sounds basic but makes a big difference. I wore it crossbody most of the day and tightened it up when I noticed it shifting around. You can also wear it more like a chest bag if that’s your thing, or even sling it behind you like a mini backpack.
What I love most is that it doesn’t sit flat against your entire back. That alone made it feel cooler than my usual backpack. It’s lightweight, easy to swing around when you need something, and it doesn’t scream tourist.
The One Thing I’d Tweak
I will say this. On my first park day with it, I didn’t pack it evenly. The items I had were heavier and settled toward the bottom, which made it tilt a bit to one side. Once I adjusted the strap to be more snug, it was fine.
If you’re strategic about how you pack it, you probably won’t even notice. Still, for eight dollars, I can’t really complain. I’ve seen similar styles for triple the price.
Do You Need It for Your Trip?
If you’re someone who refuses to carry a giant backpack but also needs more than a tiny belt bag can handle, yes. This is definitely the solution.
It made my park day easier, lighter, and way less chaotic. I wasn’t constantly shifting a heavy bag on my shoulders or trying to zip something closed with one hand while holding a Mickey pretzel in the other.
