A rare parade has returned to Disney World, and we would bet you’ve never heard of it! Disney parades are some of the most popular forms of live entertainment in the park, but for this parade, you don’t even need a park ticket.

The Alice in Wonderland Float!
Over at Disney’s Port Orleans resort, there is a very special parade that happens only once a year, and we’re bringing you along with us! Let’s check out the Port Orleans Mardi Gras Parade!
Grab your fluffy Mickey beignets and let’s watch a parade go by! The annual Port Orleans Mardi Gras Parade has returned, and these floats have blown us away. They’re golf carts decorated by Cast Members, and you can really see their creativity come through. The carts drive along the Sassagoula River from Port Orleans Riverside to Port Orleans French Quarter.

The people were lined up!
This year, the theme was Heroes vs. Villains, and the people delivered! To kick it off, a beautiful horse drawn carraige started the parade with Princess Tiana inside.

A carriage ride!
The next float was Mardi Gras themed! It was super colorful and very appropriate for the day.

Mardi Gras float!
An Aladdin-themed float drove by, complete with Genie, his lamp, Aladdin, and Abu! The driver even had on an Abu headband.

Hey, Genie!
The float behind it was inspired by the scene when Jafar turned into a massive serpent! How villainous!

The scary serpent!
One of the most impressive floats was inspired by the Queen of Hearts from Alice in Wonderland!

Off with their heads!
We went from Zero to Hero thanks to this Hercules float! You can even spot some tiny Muses on the back of it.

The Hercules Float!
What’s Hercules without Hades, though? His float wasn’t far behind! It was inspired by the boat that floats across the River Styx.

The Hades float!
Some seriously impressive Cast Members even dressed up in full costume to match their cart! This is real dedication.

WOW!
Unfortunately, this parade only happens once a year on Mardi Gras, so we will have to wait until 2027 to see it again. Be sure to keep following DFB for more Disney news, updates, and more!
