Magic Kingdom is chock-full of different rides — and different ride vehicles — however, not all of them are created equal. In fact, there are some really good seats and some that…well…you should probably try to avoid if you can.
From classic boat rides and iconic coasters to the latest in modern E-Tickets, these are the seats to shoot for to have the best experience on these attractions…and the ones that could ruin your day.
Pirates of the Caribbean
As far as Disney animatronic-based attractions, there are few as iconic as Pirates of the Caribbean. While the Disney World version doesn’t quite match the Anaheim original, it’s still a must-do for Disney aficionados and casual guests alike.
The ride is best experienced from a seat in the middle of the boat, where you can take in everything the ride has to offer, as nearly every scene offers a full 360-degree experience, with show elements on every side.

Big Thunder Mountain
It can be easy to overlook Big Thunder Mountain Railroad right now since the legendary coaster has been closed for refurbishment since January of 2025. However, given that it’s due to reopen with a new track as well as a Rainbow Caverns scene, it seems like a good time for a refresher.
So, the best and worst seats on Big Thunder are actually one and the same, and it’s all dependent on your preference. You see, as is natural on many roller coasters, the final car on trains experiences extra whiplash feelings and a sense of speed due to the forces of gravity pulling them through drops and turns. This is especially true on Big Thunder, given the front-heavy nature of the train-themed vehicles. This will likely make them the best seat for those looking to put the “wild” in “Wildest Wild in the Wilderness”, but not so much for those looking for a smoother ride.

Jungle Cruise
The big reason many love the Jungle Cruise is the hilarious Skippers. The person giving you a tour of the exotic jungle will keep you entertained with punny jokes and passenger interaction. A great Skipper can really elevate the ride experience. The best seat in the house is closer to the front of the boat. This will help you hear the jokes better, and you can interact with your Skipper! If you’re lucky (or unlucky!), they might make you the butt of a few jokes as well! This is especially fun for kids to be close to the Skipper. Since the boats load both sides, you have two shots to get close to your Skipper!
The worst seat? Sitting in the back will make you feel distanced from the Skipper, and you might miss out on some of the interactive moments. However, this might be a better choice if you would rather see the entire view of the cruise!
This is a great spot if you want unobstructed views to snap pictures of the scenery.

I would also like to suggest that if people wish to be seated in the middle of the auditorium for attractions like Mickey’s Philharmagic, they should not try to be first into the room when the doors open, but hang back until about half of the crowd is in – otherwise, it is most uncomfortable (and irritating!) when you enter a row, and people stopped in the middle to sit down, leaving everyone behind them to have to crawl over the entire family to move down the row!
