When it comes to being a Disney Adult in your 30s (guilty!), it can sometimes be hard to admit that age plays a role in what rides are included on your Magic Kingdom itinerary (also, unfortunately, guilty).
Whether it’s due to commonly long waits, weather issues, or simply the… ahem… pain factor, these rides often don’t make the cut for those of us north of the big 3-0.
Space Mountain
Where else would we begin than Space Mountain? 50 years after its debut, this industry-changing indoor steel coaster still packs in massive crowds.
However, it’s also Disney’s biggest gift to chiropractors not named The Matterhorn. Seriously, the older you get, the more blasting off from Spaceport 75 is liable to lead to back pain.

Peter Pan’s Flight
Peter Pan’s Flight doesn’t make our list for thrill reasons – though those suspended pirate ships are much higher in the air than you think – but rather wait times. This Fantasyland dark ride often commands long – we’re talking close to an hour or more – for what is essentially a short dark ride experience. While the ride has nostalgic appeal and is certainly a highlight for those traveling with kids, 30-year-olds on their own may want to use their time more wisely.

Seven Dwarfs Mine Train
From one of Fantasyland’s oldest rides to one of its newest, we have the Seven Dwarfs Mine Train.
This kid-friendly coaster has been massively popular in the decade+ since it debuted, with wait times to prove it. Which is exactly why many 30-somethings choose to skip it often.

Tiana’s Bayou Adventure
Like its predecessor, Splash Mountain, one of the best parts of riding Tiana’s Bayou Adventure is the refreshing splash of water during the summer months. However, during the colder months of the world, walking around soaking wet is less than ideal — wet socks, eww — especially the older one gets.

Tomorrowland Speedway
The Speedway is always a thrill for young kids yearning for their first experience driving. For adults, um, not so much. And that’s not even bringing up getting in and out of the ride vehicles.

Magic Carpets of Aladdin
There are three spinner attractions in the Magic Kingdom: The iconic Dumbo, a Disney Parks experience so well known that one of its ride vehicles is in the collection of the Smithsonian; The Astro Orbiter, which sits atop Rocket Tower Plaza high above Tomorrowland, and The Magic Carpets of Aladdin, which sits directly under the hot sun in the middle of Adventureland. Which do you think tends to get skipped over most?
