Mark your calendars! A (fake) storm is about to blow through Disney World!

Typhoon Lagoon
If you’re a big fan of Disney’s water parks, you know that they typically rotate which park is open at a time. Typhoon Lagoon is closing on February 15th, and Blizzard Beach reopens on the same day. If you’re a huge Typhoon Lagoon fan, you won’t have to wait too long because we finally know when it’s reopening!
Typhoon Lagoon will be reopening on May 12th, 2026! Yes, that means we only have to go for 3 months without heading into the storm. That being said, you won’t have to say goodbye to Blizzard Beach just yet.

Typhoon Lagoon
That’s right, Blizzard Beach will be staying open even past May 12th! That means both Disney water parks will be open all summer long for lots of fun in the sun.

Blizzard Beach
This isn’t a huge surprise because Disney is bringing back the Free Water Park Entry perk for resort guests in Summer 2026. This hotel perk will be available to the resort guests on the day of check-in, so you can hit the ground running. This perk will be available from May 26th through September 8th, 2026.

Crowds at Blizzard Beach water park
Disney has also brought back their Water Park Pass for part of 2026 if you’re a really big water park fan! For adults, passes are $89, and for kiddos aged 3-9, it’ll cost $83. The passes will feature blackout dates from March 28th, 2026, until April 5th, 2026, so plan accordingly!

Ice Cream Sandwich at Typhoon Lagoon
In 2026, the pass will include new perks like getting 20% off a cabana when you first arrive at the water park (it is a walk-up deal only). You also get a free round of mini golf at either Winter Summerland Miniature Golf or Fantasia Gardens and Fairways Miniature Golf when you visit before 4 PM. This is only good for one use!

Blizzard Beach’s Frozen decorations
We can’t wait to splish and splash all summer long once both parks are open. While we wait for both parks to open, you can hang out at Blizzard Beach once it reopens on February 15th. Be sure to keep following DFB for more Disney news and updates.
