One of my favorite things to do in Disneyland is attend one of the park’s After Dark events. These specially-ticketed themed events happen after the park closes for the evening, with special activities, character meet and greets, entertainment, and more. In 2026, Disneyland After Dark is going to be even MORE epic, especially with the addition of one NEW After Dark event, 70 Years of Favorites.
So if you want to attend one of these fun events for yourself, you’ll need to know the dates, right? Well, Disney just confirmed the dates for this year’s After Dark events, along with a LOT of new details. So let’s get into it.
Disney announced all the After Hours events for 2026 back in November, along with details about Sweethearts’ Nite, which is happening on select nights right now through February 17th.
Well, we’ve now got dates and details for all the other After Dark events happening this year.
70 Years of Favorites
Let’s talk about the NEWEST After Dark event, 70 Years of Favorites, which will be inspired by the Disneyland 70th Anniversary Celebration. Disney promises a “walk down memory lane” that will honor the park’s history. Disney previously released the dates for 70 Years of Favorites:
- Tuesday, March 3rd
- Thursday, March 5th
Tickets are on sale now for this event.
70 Years of Favorites will include the “Sounds of Magic” riverfront serenade on Rivers of America, singing songs from things like “Animazement — The Musical,” “Tiana’s Showboat Jubilee,” “The Lion King Celebration Parade,” and more. There will also be swing dancing at the Royal Theatre in Fantasyland, an 80s-themed Videopolis Dance Party at Tomorrowland Terrace, and line dancing at the Golden Horseshoe.
Photo ops will include nostalgic entertainment like “Mad T Party,” “Main Street Electrical Parade,” and Club Buzz, plus some favorite rides. Characters will also be meeting, including “Mother” and “Father” from Carousel of Progress, Merlin, Flik, Atta, and the Fantasmic! Monkeys.
There will also be some special nostalgic food to dig into during this event, including:
- Mushroom Philly toasted sandwich (plant-based) and maple bacon cinnamon roll at Jolly Holiday Bakery Cafe
- Birria mac and cheese in a bread bowl at Refreshment Corner
- Gaston Brew at Red Rose Taverne
- Blackened New York steak and prawns at River Belle Terrace

Penny Proud from The Proud Family will be making her Disneyland debut at this event.
She’ll be joined by Kim Possible, Lilo & Stitch, and more. Then there’s the high-energy street show “High School Musical – ZOMBIES Pep Rally.” Practice your most wicked moves at “DescenDANCE” along the Rivers of America. “Disney Channel Rocks” is a concert-style show celebrating hit songs from the Disney Channel. You’ll also find a “Camp Rock Sing-Along” at the Golden Horseshoe.
Photo ops will include backgrounds from your fave Disney Channel shows, including a new High School Musical photo op. Go Wildcats! If you get hungry, some special food will also be available:
