When it comes to dining at Disney World, you’ve got a TON of options. No matter what size meal you’re looking for, what type of palate you have, or what you’re in the mood for, there’s pretty much something for everyone!
We recently stopped by AbracadaBar at Disney’s BoardWalk to see what you can grab during your visit, and now we’re bringing you our FULL review. Is it worth a stop on your upcoming trip? Let’s find out together!
Atmosphere
This small, intimate cocktail lounge is located between Flying Fish and Trattoria al Forno (almost directly across from Blue Ribbon Corn Dogs), and it’s like stepping back in time to the golden age of magic.
According to the Disney BoardWalk lore, prestidigitators would gather here after nearly every magic show, often staying up all night as they attempted to outdo one another with incredible tricks before gathering at the bar to create new magical cocktails audiences would love.
The details in this lounge are truly not to be missed, and we encourage you to REALLY look around and check it all out as you dine. Everywhere you look, you’ll spot something you never noticed before — we’ve been going for years, and it happens to us nearly every time.
But enough about the lounge’s looks — what’s on the menu here?
Menu
While the menu here is mostly made up of various cocktails, you’ll also find a few Bar Snacks on the menu as well. While the lounge itself is open from 4 PM to 12 AM most nights, the Bar Snacks are only served from 5-10 PM.
Not a big cocktail person, but still want a drink? No worries, you’ll also find Featured Wines, Beer Selections, and more. You’ll even find a zero-proof cocktail and a mocktail on the menu!
And now, onto the main event — the review!
Eats
First up, we grabbed the Báhn Mì Sliders for $14. This is made with Pork Belly, Marinated Cucumber, and Sriracha Aïoli. These are rich, with delicious, perfectly cooked pork belly mixed with lightly pickled cucumbers and fresh carrot shreds. The buns are toasted, which adds a crunchy texture we adored. The aioli is lightly spiced, which rounds out the dish. While we do feel they’re beyond delicious and packed with flavor, they are a bit on the small side, so we can understand if some people feel they’re a little too expensive. We think they’re worth it, but we can understand not everyone feeling the same way!
We also grabbed the Lump Crab Fries for $17, which are made with Wasabi Aïoli, Doenjang, and Tobiko.
The fries themselves are not only cooked perfectly and seasoned beautifully, but they’re LOADED down with sweet, fresh crab, making this overall a very craveable dish. The crab does have light seasoning, giving each bite a slightly oceanic aftertaste with a creamy finish. The aioli on top is supposed to contain wasabi, but we didn’t taste any in ours. We would have liked to taste it a little more, as we feel the spice would have balanced out the richness and sweetness of the crab. However, the serving size here is easily enough to split between three people, making it well worth the cost if you’re sharing.
Drinks
To drink, we picked up the Espresso Martini for $17.50. This is made with Grainger’s Deluxe Organic Vanilla Vodka, Tia Maria Cold Brew Coffee Liqueur, Bols Crème de Cacao White Liqueur, and Espresso. This drink came highly recommended to us by our server, and they weren’t wrong! It’s a coffee lover’s dream with its coffee-forward flavor and creamy texture, as well as a vanilla undertone that balances the flavor and makes for a smooth finish. If you need a little caffeine jolt with your drink, this is the way to go.
We also tried Pepper’s Ghost for $17.50, which is made with SKYY Pineapple Vodka, Habanero, and Lime. This was very pineapple-forward with a spicy pepper finish from the habanero.
This has a pleasant burn, and then pineapple is balanced at the back end by the lime juice. It’s sweet, but not overly so, with a burn on the backend we enjoyed, IF you know you’ll like drinks like this. If you’re not a fan of spice or burn, it may not be the right fit for you.
