Somehow, we’re already almost to the end of January (could time slow down, please?), and a new month in Disney World almost always means there are NEW changes on the way.
The month of February is no different. In fact, there are some truly MASSIVE changes happening this upcoming month, including the permanent closure of an entire land. If you’re heading to Disney World next month, these are the big changes you need to know about!
DinoLand, U.S.A. Closure
February 1st is the final day guests will be able to experience DinoLand, U.S.A. before it closes fully to make way for Animal Kingdom’s new Tropical Americas land. The remainder of the land has already closed, and construction on the new land is well underway, but as of February 2nd, DINOSAUR, The Dino Institute Shop, Restaurantosaurus, and Restaurantosaurus Lounge will all be closed for good.
We’re definitely going to miss this land, but we’re grateful we got a whole extra year with Dinosaur! Based on the concept art we’ve seen for the new land, and the progress already made, we’re looking forward to the new addition, but if you want to hear Dr. Seeker panic that you’re not going to make it back from the Cretaceous period in time, you’ve only got a few more weeks!

Crew’s Cup Lounge Closure
Over at Disney’s Yacht Club, Crew’s Cup Lounge will be closing for refurbishment on February 23rd! This spot will be closed for quite a while, though, as it won’t reopen until May 2026.
The Prime Rib Sliders are some of our favorite options here, so if you know you’ll miss them, we recommend heading over there ASAP to snag them before you’ll have to go a few months without them! It has also been confirmed that Yachtsman Steakhouse will close in May (likely after Crew’s Cup reopens, but we’ll have to wait and see) for a “refresh.”

Pop Century Refurbishment
Great news! February 2026 is when the refurbishment at Pop Century Resort should be COMPLETE! The lobby at this hotel just recently finished its refurbishment in late 2025, but the other areas of the resort have also been getting a refresh since March 2025.
The popular hotel should be totally refurbished by the end of February, which means that staying at this hotel just moved up on our list a bit — we love new rooms! This hotel also has direct access to the Disney Skyliner, which is a huge perk, especially if you plan to spend a lot of time in EPCOT or Disney’s Hollywood Studios.
Warning: the Skyliner will be closed for a few days in January!

Festival of the Arts Will End
One of our favorite EPCOT festivals will also have its final day for the year on February 23rd. EPCOT’s International Festival of the Arts is one of the most popular festivals of the year, but it’s also unfortunately one of the shortest!
There are SO many delicious offerings to try out at this festival, and if you’ll be in the park before it ends, we highly recommend checking it out. Don’t know where to start? Don’t worry — we’ve tried EVERYTHING at the festival to tell you what is, and isn’t, worth your money!

A Disney Springs Store Could Close
Disney Springs is home to tons of different shopping and dining options, and we just recently found out that one of the chains will soon be closing forever. Francesca’s will be closing its doors after 25 years of business, which means the Disney Springs location could go away at any time.
Right now, there’s been no official announcement as to when the physical stores are set to close, but we know it’s coming. We wouldn’t be surprised to see it happen in February, so we’ll keep our eyes peeled and let you know as soon as we find out!
