We sure have eaten a LOT of food in Disney World this week, although, granted, a lot of that new food was at the EPCOT Festival of the Arts. But, hey, someone’s gotta’ do it, right?

Main Street Confectionery has new treats!

Well, EPCOT wasn’t the only Disney World theme park to get new food this week. We also had a new cake slice from The Bake Shop, three new savory waffles in Disney Springs, and a ginormous crepe. But that’s not all, we also noticed some new treats at Main Street Confectionery in Magic Kingdom, and well, we tried them all. Now, we’ve got some thoughts to share with you.

The first new treat is the Peanut Butter and Jelly Cookie Pie with M&M’s Peanut Butter Chocolate Candies for $7.79. It also has peanut butter frosting and strawberry jelly. So the idea here is to really tap into those nostalgic childhood vibes, and we think Disney was successful in doing just that.  The texture is exactly like a thick peanut butter cookie, and there are even additional peanut butter chips in it, which we loved. Then you’ve got those peanut butter M&Ms, so this is for everyone who loves peanut butter.

But there’s also jelly, just like your favorite PB&J sandwich as a kid. The jelly is tasty and pretty much like that standard Smuckers jelly we loved as kids, on top of peanut butter and slapped between two slices of bread. Kids will love this, but it’s also for those adults who are feeling nostalgic.

Next up is the Brownie Pie with M&Ms milk chocolate, M&Ms caramel, and M&Ms peanut butter candies for $7.79. It also has a milk chocolate drizzle on top. This is for the hardcore brownie lovers. It’s got a lovely fudgy texture and flavor, but then you get little pockets of all those different M&M flavors, which complement the brownie well.

Is this the best brownie you’ve ever had? No. Is it unique? Also, no. But if you’re in Magic Kingdom and want a solidly good chocolate brownie snack, this is one of the better options.

Finally, we have to talk about the Mickey Strawberry Cookie Sandwich with SKITTLES POP’d Original Freeze Dried Candy for $7.99. First, why is Disney putting freeze-dried Skittles on EVERYTHING right now? This is seriously a weird trend, although we get that kids LOVE it. But let’s talk about the snack as a whole. The sugar cookies were firm and not crumbly, which kinda made them hard to bite into. So this is already testing our patience in just trying to eat it.

But then the flavor of the filling hits, and although we LOVE strawberry, this did not taste like strawberry. It tasted like it had an artificial bubble gum flavor. Even the Skittles couldn’t save that awful filling. But then again, maybe this is one for the kids, what with the bubble gum flavor and the Skittles. Who knows? But it certainly wasn’t for us.
