It’s officially EPCOT Festival of the Arts time in Disney World! We visited the festival on opening day to see, do, and eat everything available at the event. But, of course, it takes time and planning for a full day at the Festival of the Arts to go smoothly, and that starts with packing your park bag.
We checked in on a couple of our reporters covering the first day of the festival to see what they all packed for their long day in EPCOT. When covering EVERYTHING at the festival, you need to come prepared, so here’s what they took with them to try it all in one day.
Our first reporter came prepared to film and spend a full day in the park! You’ll notice things like tripods, battery chargers, and headphones in their park bag. Since we film and photograph everything we do on these festival days, we gotta be ready!
A Travel Mirror Is Super Useful
If you’re like us and LOVING the food booths at the Festival of the Arts, a compact travel mirror can help you keep the mess off your face. While you’re wrapping up some snacks at one of the booths, pull out this handy mirror and check that there’s no leftover pieces on your face!
This Pill Organizer Will Come in Handy at the Parks
Regardless of which park you’re at, a pill organizer is never a bad idea. But come prepared with some antacid and some Dramamine on your trip to EPCOT Festival of the Arts for all the interesting food you’ll be consuming and the following ride on Guardians of the Galaxy: Cosmic Rewind!
A Microfiber Cloth for Your Sunglasses Is Very Practical
Smudges happen, but if you keep one of these small microfiber towels in your park bag, you won’t have to deal with the glare all day long!
A Portable Charger Is Always in Our Park Bag
We go through A LOT of battery life on a festival day from all the photos and recordings we take to get you the best full coverage possible. But even if you’re not filming all day like we are, a battery charger is still totally useful. The constant use of the My Disney Experience app will drain your battery faster than you might expect.
Don’t Forget Your Mineral Sunscreen
You might not think sunscreen in January is a necessity, but it totally is. It’s not 95 or higher, but that sun is still strong. Grab a zinc oxide mineral sunscreen to ensure you’re covered. (Note: mineral sunscreen will sit on top of your skin instead of soaking into it, making it better than other sunscreens. But it will leave a white layer, too.)
You’ll Always Catch Us with a Table Top Tripod
Like we said, we do a lot of filming of everything on festival days, so a tripod is a must for us! You might not need one, but you’ll always find one in our park bag.
Backup SD Cards Are a Must for Us
Another thing you’ll always find with us in the parks is spare SD cards. We have to come prepared to grab LOTS of content.
Of Course, a Wallet Is Very Important. We Love a Loungefly Wallet
Yes, sadly, we do end up giving Disney World all of our money, especially on festival days. We buy food from every single food booth, so of course, we’re packing our wallets. You’ll probably wanna make sure you do, too. 😉
Last in Reporter 1’s Bag: We Don’t Go Anywhere Without Our Headphones
We use headphones while recording, but they’re always useful to have with you! It’s easy to take calls in parks with a pair of headphones or listen to your favorite hits while enjoying the artsy ambiance of the festival.
Our second reporter is also ready for the long day ahead, coming prepared with snacks, lip gloss, chargers, and more!
Grab a Cute Park Bag for Your Festival Day!
A chunky crossbody bag like this one will carry everything you need for the festival and be a cute addition to your artsy outfit!
You Can’t Go Wrong with Having a Travel Brush
If your hair is untamable like ours, especially in the Florida humidity, you might want to pack a travel brush! There are so many photo ops around the festival, keep your hair prepared.
We Love FuelRods
FuelRods are another great option for keeping your phone charged. Plus, there are FuelRod kiosks all around Disney World, so you can always have a full one on hand!
Grab Some Lip Gloss for Your Festival Day
Keep your lips moisturized and shiny for all the photo ops you’re going to use around the festival!
Don’t Forget the Hand Sanitizer
Hand sanitizer at Disney World is a MUST. We love the Touchland sanitizers, especially the Mickey Mouse case! These sanitizers are compact, moisturizing, and smell so good. The case also comes with a key ring so you can attach it to your bag or keys.
Chomps Are a Great Snack While Standing in Long Lines
Chomps is a great beef jerky brand that also has turkey jerky varieties and TONS of flavor options. It’s grass-fed beef with lots of protein, so you’ll feel fuller longer. These mini sticks fit perfectly in your park bag, so you never have to be hangry, even in long lines.
Pin Collectors, Grab a Mini Pin Book for Your Bag Just Like Ours
The Festival of the Arts is a great time to bring out your pin collection for buying and trading pins. This small pin book can fit in your bag just like ours, for convenience around the park.
We enjoyed the 2026 Festival of the Arts, and we hope you do, too! Make sure you come prepared with everything you’ll need in your park bag. For more festival content and souvenir news, keep following DFB!
