Somedays, it feels like just about everything is under construction or being refurbished or getting completely revamped in Disney World. Hotels are getting new lobbies AND rooms, while the theme parks are getting brand new lands with new rides, shops, and restaurants.
Well, that construction is continuing over at Disney’s Yacht Club Resort, where two restaurants will close soon, so if you want to grab a bite at Yachtsman Steakhouse or The Crew’s Cup Lounge, you’ll need to do it before they close!
Disney has confirmed that Yachtsman Steakhouse, which is about as close to an old-fashioned classic steakhouse as you can get in Disney World, will close in May 2026 for a “refresh.” The restaurant is expected to reopen in August 2026. We’ll admit we’re very curious as to what this refresh will be, but it sounds like the restaurant might look a lot different when it reopens. Now, we have to wonder if we’ll be getting new food, too!
In addition, the lounge adjacent to Yachtsman Steakhouse, The Crew’s Cup Lounge, will be closing even sooner, on February 23rd! However, that restaurant is expected to reopen in May 2026. Disney has not shared what plans it has for the lounge, but we’re certainly curious about it! If you love the Prime Rib Sliders at Crew’s Cup as much as we do, you’ll want to head over there ASAP to get that one last prime rib slider fix.
In the meantime, you’ll still be able to grab food at Ale & Compass Restaurant, as well as at The Market at Ale & Compass. Yacht Club is also close to several other EPCOT-area resorts, so you have those choices of restaurants, too.
We’ll keep an eye out for more closures (and reopenings) in Disney World, so stay tuned to DFB for more.
