For Star Wars fans, Disneyland’s Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge is a destination in and of itself. Where else can you take a shot at flying the Millennium Falcon or going head-to-head with The First Order for the Rebellion? Where else can you see the Mandalorian and Grogu wandering about, along with Chewbacca?
Where else can you grab a Star Wars-themed drink in a hive of scum and villainy? That’s what Oga’s Cantina is all about, but we’ve got some bad news about this popular bar: it’s set to close soon in Disneyland.
We recently took a look at the Disneyland calendar, and as of January 20th, Oga’s Cantina is not showing any hours, meaning that the bar will likely be closed on that day. This closure seems to extend through January 24th. However, the bar is showing hours again for January 25th, so this seems to be a sort of closure, probably for some kind of maintenance or refurbishment.
However, note that if you were planning on visiting the bar during that time, it’s not showing hours for it, so you won’t be able to. Also, Oga’s Cantina stopped taking advance reservations last year and now has walk-up availability and a standby line. Pro tip: if you want to get in with a short wait, go earlier in the day, as in the morning. On most days, you’ll find mornings mean you might not have to stand in line at all.
If you are visiting Disneyland while Oga’s is closed, you can always pop into Docking Bay 7 for a Star Wars-themed drink, including the Cold Brew Black Caf. It’s not quite the same as the vibe at Oga’s, but it will do! Plus you can grab lunch or dinner there, while you’re at it.
We’ll be keeping an eye out for more closures in Disneyland, so stay tuned to DFB to stay updated.
