Disney World has no shortage of iconic restaurants, but some seriously solid steaks keep flying under the radar.
Between chasing reservations, planning park days, and trying to remember where you ate on your last trip, it’s easy to forget about some truly great meals. Disney World actually has several steak options that don’t get nearly enough love, and a few aren’t even traditional steakhouses. Let’s talk about nine spots you should absolutely consider adding back onto your list.
Steakhouse 71
Steakhouse 71 continues to be one of the most underrated dining spots in Disney World, and it’s easy to see why we keep coming back. It hits that rare sweet spot where the prices feel reasonable, the food feels elevated, and the vibe works just as well for a special occasion as it does for a casual meal straight from the parks. Located inside Disney’s Contemporary Resort, it’s approachable without feeling boring and polished without being intimidating.
The menu gives you plenty of classic steakhouse options, but it’s also full of surprises. Lunch is especially appealing if you want high-quality food without a signature dining price tag. The Steak Frites is one of the more talked-about options; the fries are excellent, and the house steak sauce adds a smoky depth that helps bring the dish together.
Where Steakhouse 71 really shines is in the non-steak items and the supporting players. The sea salt potato brioche is incredibly fluffy and rich, easily one of our favorite bread options on property. The gourmet grilled cheese is another standout, loaded with melty cheeses, tender pork belly, and a slightly sweet onion jam that makes it feel indulgent without being over the top. And then there’s the signature chocolate cake, which is massive, shareable, and genuinely one of the best chocolate desserts in Disney World, with layers that manage to feel decadent without being too heavy.
Overall, Steakhouse 71 works because it doesn’t try to be the best steakhouse at Disney World. Instead, it focuses on being consistently good, welcoming to all kinds of guests, and packed with dishes that keep people coming back. If you’re looking for a solid meal near Magic Kingdom that won’t completely wreck your budget, this is one you shouldn’t keep forgetting.

Ale and Compass Restaurant
Located at Disney’s Yacht Club Resort, just a short walk from EPCOT, it’s an easy escape from the parks that somehow still feels like a hidden gem. The coastal-inspired space is calm, air-conditioned, and dimly lit in a way that makes you instantly relax after a long park day.
The menu leans into familiar, comforting dishes done well rather than flashy or experimental food. Lunch and dinner both offer solid steak adjacent options along with burgers, seafood, and shareable plates that feel dependable in the best way. This is the kind of place where you come knowing you’re going to enjoy your meal, even if it’s not the most adventurous thing you eat on your trip.
The Parker House rolls alone are reason enough to stop by. They’re warm, fluffy, slightly crisp on the outside, and served with a trio of spreads that balance savory, rich, and bright flavors.
While Ale & Compass may not be known as a traditional steakhouse, it earns its place here by offering high-quality proteins in a setting that’s easy to overlook. The food feels polished without being fussy, and the atmosphere makes it ideal for a slower, sit-down meal that doesn’t feel rushed. It’s also usually easier to snag a reservation compared to some of the more hyped spots around EPCOT. If you’re looking for a reliable, relaxing meal with solid execution and a great location, Ale & Compass is absolutely worth remembering. It’s the kind of restaurant that may not dominate social media, but it consistently delivers when you need it most

Bourbon Steak by Michael Mina
Bourbon Steak at the Walt Disney World Swan and Dolphin Resort isn’t a place you accidentally wander into. It’s a deliberate, special occasion kind of restaurant, and it absolutely knows it. From the moment you walk in, the space feels sleek, intimate, and unapologetically upscale, leaning into classic steakhouse vibes with a modern edge.
The menu is extensive and leans hard into luxury, with premium cuts of beef, seafood, and rich sides designed for sharing. This isn’t the spot for budget dining, but if you’re looking for one of the best steak experiences anywhere on Disney World property, Bourbon Steak delivers. Even before the main courses arrive, the experience feels elevated, starting with a complimentary fry trio that sets the tone for how thoughtful and indulgent the meal is going to be.
When it comes to the steaks, this is where Bourbon Steak truly earns its reputation. The filet is cooked with precision, beautifully seasoned, and incredibly tender, the kind of steak that doesn’t need much help to shine. Every bite feels intentional and polished.
Beyond the steaks, the menu is full of show-stopping dishes that make the meal feel like an event. Rich appetizers, decadent sides, and over-the-top entrées are clearly designed for diners who want to linger and indulge. Desserts continue that trend, with shareable options that are as much about the experience as they are about the flavors.
Bourbon Steak is expensive, even by Disney World standards, but the quality, service, and overall execution justify the splurge. This is not an everyday dinner, but it’s a standout option when you want something memorable. If you’re building a list of overlooked Disney World steakhouses, this one deserves to be remembered, especially for anyone who takes their steak very seriously

Yachtsman Steakhouse
Yachtsman Steakhouse at Disney’s Yacht Club Resort is one of those restaurants that we longtime Disney fans know well, yet it still somehow gets skipped over when people are making dining plans. As a signature dining location, it leans into a classic New England steakhouse atmosphere with polished service and a menu that feels intentionally upscale. It’s refined without being intimidating, making it a great option when you want to slow down after a busy park day.
The steaks here have long been some of the strongest on property, with a focus on quality cuts and traditional preparations. The menu is extensive, offering everything from butcher’s cuts to steakhouse sauces and hearty sides that let you build exactly the meal you’re craving. This is the kind of place where steak lovers can stick with the classics and feel confident in what they’re ordering.
What really stood out on one of our recent visits, though, was how much the menu has expanded beyond just steak. Yachtsman offers thoughtfully prepared plant-based options that feel just as intentional as the rest of the menu. Dishes like house-made pasta with rich, savory flavors and beautifully balanced desserts make this a restaurant that works for a wider range of diners than you might expect from a traditional steakhouse.
The bread service sets the tone right away, warm and comforting, and the overall pacing of the meal encourages you to take your time. Yachtsman isn’t about rushing in and out. It’s about sitting down, enjoying good service, and having a meal that feels like a break from the chaos of the parks.
If you’re looking for a reliable, upscale steakhouse with a polished atmosphere and a surprisingly versatile menu, Yachtsman Steakhouse deserves a spot back on your list. It may not be the trendiest restaurant at Disney World, but it consistently delivers where it matters most.

Teppan Edo
Teppan Edo in EPCOT’s Japan Pavilion isn’t a steakhouse in the traditional sense, but for fans of hibachi-style steak, it absolutely belongs in the conversation. This is one of those restaurants people remember as “fun” and then forget to actually book, even though it offers a reliable, entertaining way to get steak inside the park. If you love watching your food cooked right in front of you, this spot delivers on experience every time.
The atmosphere is lively and communal, with chefs working the grill at shared tables and keeping the energy up throughout the meal. Expect classic hibachi theatrics, plenty of interaction, and a dining room that feels buzzy without being overwhelming. It’s not the place for a quiet meal, but it is a great option for groups, families, or anyone who enjoys dinner with a side of entertainment.
The menu keeps things fairly straightforward, focusing on teppanyaki combinations that include steak, chicken, shrimp, and seafood. One of the biggest perks here is the flexibility, since you can choose different protein combinations depending on what you’re in the mood for. The steak itself is cooked to order and has a nice sear, making it a solid option for anyone craving beef during an EPCOT day.
Flavor wise, the food leans more subtle than bold, with much of the seasoning coming from the sauces served alongside the meal. If you enjoy customizing each bite and dipping as you go, this works well. If you’re looking for heavily seasoned or complex flavors straight off the grill, it may feel a little restrained.
Teppan Edo shines most when you treat it as an experience first and a steak dinner second. It may not offer the best steak at Disney World, but it provides something different, with hibachi-style cooking, plenty of cut options, and a fun atmosphere that’s easy to overlook. If you want a break from traditional table service dining and still want steak on the menu, this is a solid choice to keep in mind

Topolino’s Terrace
Topolino’s Terrace at Disney’s Riviera Resort might be best known for its character breakfast, but don’t sleep on the dinner menu, especially if you love steak. This rooftop restaurant is all about elegance, with Riviera-inspired decor and sweeping views of the resort, and it really shines after the parks close. It’s a spot that feels special, without being intimidating, and the dinner menu rewards those who make the trip.
The rooftop setting adds a lot to the experience. You get a relaxed, airy atmosphere that’s perfect for lingering over a meal after a long day at the parks. While reservations are highly recommended, it’s worth planning ahead to enjoy both the food and the view. Topolino’s manages to feel both elevated and approachable, making it a solid option for anyone looking to add a unique steakhouse experience outside the usual spots in the parks.
If you’re building a list of overlooked Disney World steakhouses, Topolino’s Terrace belongs on it, especially for anyone who wants a combination of quality steak, elevated sides, and an atmosphere that feels like a mini vacation all on its own.

Toledo – Tapas, Steak, and Seafood
If you’ve never stopped at Toledo in Disney’s Coronado Springs Resort, you have to know that it’s one of those resort dining spots that’s easily overlooked, but it definitely deserves a spot on the list. Perched atop the Gran Destino Tower, the restaurant offers some stunning rooftop views and a menu that leans into Spanish-inspired flavors with a modern twist. It’s the kind of place that makes leaving the theme parks feel like a treat rather than a detour.
The menu focuses on tapas, fresh seafood, and premium cuts of meat, making it a pretty well-rounded choice for both adventurous eaters and steak lovers. Highlights include rib-eye, filet, lamb, and salmon, paired with elevated sides like shishito peppers or potato purée. Everything feels thoughtfully prepared, and it’s a rare spot in Disney World where the Spanish theme comes through in every course.
Toledo shines in more ways than just its food. The ambiance is elegant yet approachable, and the views of Disney World from the dining room and nearby Dahlia Lounge truly make it a memorable experience. It’s a great option for a relaxed, upscale dinner after a day in the parks or for a special occasion without leaving the resort entirely.
If you’re looking for Spanish-inspired cuisine, rooftop dining, or just a way to slow down and enjoy a meal away from the hustle of the parks, Toledo deserves a spot on your Disney World dining list. It’s sophisticated, flavorful, and consistently delivers an experience that keeps us coming back

Flying Fish
Flying Fish at Disney’s BoardWalk is one of those spots that people often walk past without a second thought, which is a huge mistake if you’re a steak fan. While it’s better known for seafood, the steak here deserves just as much attention. On our most recent visit, we finally tried the filet, and let’s just say it was a revelation.
The Filet Mignon comes with truffle pain perdu, creamed romaine, and the Flying Fish steak sauce. At first glance, the price might make you pause, but every bite makes it worth it. The steak itself was cooked perfectly to medium, incredibly tender and juicy, with a light smoky char that added just the right texture. The house steak sauce is tangy with a subtle sweetness, and it complements the steak without overpowering it.
Flying Fish is more than just steak, of course, but if you’re building a list of overlooked steakhouses, or even “steak-adjacent” spots, this one absolutely deserves a place. It’s refined, unexpected, and consistently delivers both in flavor and presentation.
