Why Marvel Fans Will Be Glued To Their TVs on January 27th

Happy New Year, DFB friends! We hope the year is treating you well, and we know you’re gearing up for some pretty awesome Disney things that are coming in 2026, including a TON of new shows and movies that the year will bring to Disney+.

One of those new shows is a new Marvel series, Wonder Man, and Marvel just dropped a new trailer that looks like a lot of fun. Even better? Wonder Man will debut THIS MONTH. So if you’ve been needing a Marvel fix, you’ll be able to satisfy it sooner than you thought.

That’s right. You’ll be able to watch Marvel’s Wonder Man on January 27th! Marvel just dropped a new trailer for the series, and we have to admit it looks like it’s going to be a lot of fun. Marvel is certainly leaning more into the comedy for this one, and we are here for it.

Wonder Man stars Emmy award-winning actor Yahya Abdul-Mateen II in the title role, as well as Ben Kingsley, who is reprising his role as Trevor Slattery (a character seen most recently seen in Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings). Wonder Man follows aspiring actor Simon Willions, who has gained superpowers. The series will show how he navigates the whole “Hollywood thing” while also dealing with his family, rivals, and his new powers.

Of course, what’s an actor without a mentor? That’s where Trevor comes into play. The two have a chance meeting that leads Simon to a new opportunity with a legendary director, Von Kovak, who is remaking a superhero movie, aptly titled Wonder Man. You can probably get hilarious behind-the-scenes looks at and commentary on the entertainment industry as a whole. It should be a lot of fun, and I, personally, have started preferring Marvel’s TV shows to its recent slate of movies.

So mark those calendars and get ready for the debut of Wonder Man!
