If you happen to live in Florida or have plans to travel from Tampa International Airport anytime soon, we’ve got some big news to share with you.

Tampa International Airport has a brand new nonstop route to Punta Cana, Dominican Republic, that started on December 18th. So if you live near Tampa and are looking for a tropical vacation, you’ve got one more option, courtesy of JetBlue Airways.
Tampa International Airport just announced new nonstop flights from Tampa Bay to Punta Cana courtesy of JetBlue. The new route is already available and operates once per day, year-round. So if you’re tired of winter, you can head to a sunnier destination (because yes, even Florida gets a little dreary this time of year).

According to News Channel 8, JetBlue has also added a nonstop flight from Tampa to Islip, New York, that is available now. This is a seasonal flight through April 29th, 2026, that will operate four times per day.
“Florida continues to be a place JetBlue’s unique combination of low fares and great service resonates, and we’re proud to grow our footprint with these new destinations to meet customer demand for more of the Sunshine State,” said Dave Jehn, JetBlue’s vice president, network planning and airline partnerships. “Whether it’s customers in the Northeast looking for a warm getaway or Floridians traveling north, we’re excited to bring more choices and better service to these markets.”
So if Tampa is your home airport, or you have plans flying out of Tampa soon, you’ll be able to hit up some new destinations.
