YOU GUYS! Look at this pumpkin! We still can’t get over how beautiful it is. And guess what? You can get your very own custom-made glass pumpkin, too. If you are tired of the classic souvenirs and are looking for something personalized and gorgeous, you need to make a stop at Crystal Arts in Magic Kingdom.
We were recently invited to create a custom glass pumpkin at Crystal Arts, and we are obsessed. We can’t stop looking at it. We are covering the whole experience and how you can get your own pumpkin souvenir — complete with a carriage!
If you have ever shopped along Main Street, U.S.A., you have probably been impressed by the souvenirs available inside Crystal Arts by Arribas Brothers. This store offers so many stunning items, including hand-blown pieces, engraved glasses, bedazzled centerpieces, and more. You can also find a Crystal Arts store in Disney Springs and two Arribas Brothers locations in EPCOT. In addition, the store offers custom souvenirs, such as the Enchanted Carriage Creations experience.
For $125, you will get a hand-blown pumpkin in a carriage. You get to choose the pumpkin and stem color of your hand-blown pumpkin. Plus, you can add additional customization, like engraving for $6.95 per word and coloring for $5 per word. Once you choose your colors, you get to WATCH your pumpkin being made. It is such a fun experience, and you get to watch every step of the process.
Once your pumpkin is made, it will need time to cool, so you won’t be able to pick it up for about 24 hours. If you won’t be able to pick it up or don’t want to worry about it breaking on the trip home, they can also ship it to your home for $12.99.
We got the works for our pumpkin! We asked our glassblower, Jack, to create a pumpkin to celebrate Disney Adults, and Jack delivered big time. The pumpkin was even complete with “Disney Adults” engraved on the side and colored in silver. He carefully selected the colors and walked us through the process.
Starting with getting molten glass from the furnace, slowly adding air, and shaping the piece. Then, color is added with multiple layers of broken shards of colored glass, followed by further blowing and shaping.
After the pumpkin base was complete, Jack grabbed more glass, added color, and shaped the stem. It was such a fun experience watching him craft the pumpkin and explaining the process as he went. Finally, it was placed in a slightly cooler kiln to slowly cool before being engraved. Once the pumpkin has cooled and been engraved, it is ready for you to pick up!
And that’s not all! It also comes with a gold carriage to hold your pumpkin, and the carriage is really the cherry on top. It looks fantastic in the carriage, and it is ready to add a bit of Disney magic to your home.
Not only are we obsessed with this Disney Adults pumpkin, but we are also obsessed with Disney World. We are in the parks every day, and we are always sharing tips, tricks, and news, so you are in the know before your next Disney World trip. Make sure to stay tuned to DFB for more!
