It Just Got EASIER To Fly with Southwest Airlines

Are you flying to Disney World, Disneyland, or somewhere else soon? Well, if you’re flying Southwest Airlines, you’re probably aware of all the big changes the airline has made to its business this year.

For example, checked bags no longer fly free and come with an additional fee. You might have also noticed that there will now be assigned seats on Southwest, which starts on January 27th. However, if you’ve opened the Southwest app, you might have noticed some upgrades that will make your flying experience easier.

We’re taking a flight on Southwest soon, and when we recently opened the app, we noticed some huge improvements. When you’re flying, you’ll get even better updates on the status of your flight, your boarding time, and all your flight details.

You can also track your checked bags, track your incoming flight, and opt in to get through security faster.

Here’s what it looks like when you’re tracking your bags. You can now confirm exactly where your bag is through the app. That’s certainly going to offer some peace of mind when you know where your bags are and that they’re not lost.

For those who use iPhones, you can also add the Southwest widget to your iOS screen, so you can keep track of everything without even needing to open the app. You can also access Live Chat if you need to talk to a Southwest Airlines representative ASAP.

Another thing you might not know about is that you can book a Lyft ride through the Southwest app up to four hours before your flight. You’ll even see your estimated airport arrival time and cost on the home screen of the app. Pretty nifty, right? Flying is already stressful, but having all the information you might need at your fingertips sure makes it a lot easier.
