REVIEW: Uh, Did Disney Just Change This $10 Snack for the Better?

Disneyland is really a big deal these days. The original Disney theme park has changed quite a bit over its 70 years, but one thing that remains is that it always has a treat on hand.

The new macaron!

One of the park’s more popular treats is a macaron in any form. Over at Jolly Holiday Bakery Cafe, you can find some of Disneyland’s most delicious bites, and one of our favorites has recently changed. Let’s see if the taste matches the look!

Jolly Holiday Bakery Cafe is located on the left of Main Street U.S.A., just before you reach Sleeping Beauty Castle. This spot has been a tried and true for years, thanks to their sweet coffees, to-die-for grilled cheeses, and so many bakery treats.

This Mary Poppins-inspired quick service can see long waits, so we prefer mobile order here, and that’s exactly what we did to try out the new Milk and Cookies Tree-shaped Macaron for $8.29.

This treat is a blue macaron with milk buttercream, filled with chocolate cookie dough. This treat replaced the White Mocha Peppermint Tree Macaron for $8.29, which we reviewed in November 2025. It was filled with peppermint buttercream and a coffee bundt cake center.

To be honest, the last option wasn’t our favorite because it was hard to eat, broke easily, and the peppermint in the buttercream was overly strong. This made us pretty apprehensive. That being said, this new one was delicious!

Have a bite!

The milk buttercream was tasty and had a hint of vanilla. It was light, airy, and delicious, which is all we can ask for in a macaron. Our biggest complaint is that we wanted more cookie dough! It featured a small ball of cookie dough in the center, but we would have liked to see a bit more.

Look inside!

The cookie dough was doughy (appropriately so), and it tasted like it came straight from the container in the best way. It has all the flavor and none of the dangers of real raw cookie dough. It was the perfect sweet treat that we needed on a gloomy day!

So pretty!
