Disney World is preparing to change a LOT in 2026, and while we’re preparing as best we can with keeping up with all the news Disney announces, the truth is that while we’re getting a lot of NEW attractions in the parks, with all the additions, we’re also afraid Disney may be getting ready to take some things away.
We will be the first to admit that some of the changes on the way we’re already nervous for, but there are also things Disney hasn’t officially announced yet, but we’re concerned they’re thinking about. We polled our team, and out of all of us, here are the three changes we’re REALLY worried Disney could be announcing in 2026 and beyond.
Animation Experience in Animal Kingdom
Tucked away at Rafiki’s Planet Watch in Disney’s Animal Kingdom (which you’ve gotta take a special train to inside the park), you’ll find the Animation Experience inside the Conservation Station. This is an incredible opportunity for anyone, even those who can’t even draw a smooth circle (AKA, me), to draw some of their favorite Disney characters for no additional cost.
There are numerous times throughout the day, and you may even find that the character being drawn changes! Disney announced earlier this year that a Bluey and Bingo meet and greet will be coming to the Conservation Station in 2026, and while we’re looking forward to kiddos being able to play some popular games from Bluey episodes (including Keepy Uppy) with animal twists when they arrive, there’s a possibility it could mean the end of the Animation Experience.
Now, Disney has not fully announced this in any way, but here’s the thing — the Conservation Station isn’t THAT big. So to have both the Bluey and Bingo meet and greet AND the Animation Experience? That’s a lot to tuck into one building. Since we know that Disney’s Hollywood Studios is also introducing The Magic of Disney Animation experience in summer 2026, and that it will have a chance to draw your favorite characters, it’s likely we might be saying goodbye to the animal-themed drawing classes in Animal Kingdom. Again, we don’t know anything for sure…but we’re already mentally preparing ourselves.

The Walt Disney World Railroad
We’re hoping with EVERY fiber of our being that this won’t be true, but we’re also concerned that Disney will announce the closure of The Walt Disney World Railroad in Magic Kingdom with the construction of Villains Land. This is truly a Disney World staple, so we’re thinking that Disney will find a way to implement the track into Villains Land, or successfully adjust the track to pass by it, but we have no way of knowing for sure.
While construction of Villains Land is ongoing, the Walt Disney World Railroad is only running from Main Street to Fantasyland, and isn’t touching the entire left side of the park. This is likely due to Disney not wanting guests to see what’s happening with construction, but it’s also possible that the construction of the new land will affect the current track of the train, and the company may not choose to fix it and just chop it all together.
We do hope that Disney would at least choose to keep the train going between Fantasyland and Main Street at the very least, but again, there’s no way to know for sure. Knowing how much Walt Disney loved trains and how important they were to him, we think it’s a bit of a long shot that they’d get rid of the train entirely, but we’d still love to see it travel around the whole park!
Did Disney Just Quietly Reveal CLUES About the Villains Land Expansion?
Bibbidi Bobbidi Boutique
DON’T PANIC! We’re not talking about the main location over in Magic Kingdom, but we’ll admit we are getting concerned about the other two locations — Disney Springs and Disney’s Grand Floridian Resort. These locations haven’t been open since before the 2020 COVID-19 park closures, and we’ve heard nothing about them since.
The signs are still up at both of these locations, but signs are on the doors saying they’re temporarily closed (and the Disney World website and app say the same things). So what’s to become of these? Well, if we’re being honest, we’re thinking it’s more likely Disney will announce their permanent closures rather than announcing their reopening after six years, but hey, we could be surprised!
However, we’re not totally giving up hope! Disney announced earlier this year that the Garden View Tea Room at Disney’s Grand Floridian will be reopening in 2026, which is NOT something we saw coming, since it had been closed for five (soon to be six) years, but we’re thrilled it’ll soon be available again. Therefore, it’s possible these WILL reopen, but it also depends on how popular the one Bibbidi Bobbidi Boutique location is in Magic Kingdom. While we know it still gets booked up, we also see signs announcing walk-up availability often as well.
