Disney World as a whole is gorgeous during the holiday season. There are decorations all over, special holiday snacks to enjoy around the parks and hotels, and if you head to a particular hotel, you may even notice some ADDITIONAL decorations you can only see there.
Fort Wilderness during the holiday season!
If you head over to Fort Wilderness, you’ll find numerous holiday decorations up, just like the other hotels, but there’s something very specific to be on the lookout for. You’ll know EXACTLY what they are when you find them — trust us, they’re hard to miss!
Fort Wilderness is a LARGE hotel, so much so that you can rent golf carts to get around the resort more easily. Did you know that these golf carts are entirely yours to use during your stay, so if you want to decorate them for the holidays (in a safe manner)…you totally can!

We stopped by Fort Wilderness JUST to see these, and they did not disappoint. We saw Stitch on a holiday inflatable on top of one of the golf carts, and the three Hitchhiking Ghosts made an appearance on one of the others!

We absolutely love seeing how creative guests get, and if you go around to the different campsites, you may even see that some of those staying in RVs or campers have decorated their campsite as well. It’s tons of fun!

Now, these guests all brought these items with them, or went outside of Disney World property, and that’s completely allowed! You just need to bring everything with you when you leave, and return your golf cart as it was, as well as leave your campsite completely cleared.
