Hey, we’re no strangers to lines. If we added up how long each team member of DFB waited in line this year at Disney World, we would all be appalled by the number. That being said, while wandering EPCOT today, we saw something totally bonkers.
I can personally say that I have never seen a line for this EPCOT spot as long as it was. No, we’re not talking about Guardians of the Galaxy: Cosmic Rewind on September 21st, or Frozen Ever After, literally any day, we’re talking about a line that, if you see how long it is, you need to LEAVE.
Have you been to the Kringla Bakeri Og Kafe? You might not know it by its official name, but it’s the bakery in Norway that has popular snacks like School Bread, which we’ve raved about for years. Well, we guess everyone needed a snack today because the line was out the door.
Like, way out the door.
There were SWITCHBACKS! For the bakery. In EPCOT. Hey, we like the snacks and coffee, too, but if the line is this long, we promise you can find another snack that you’ll like in EPCOT. EPCOT is literally a mecca of food, and if the line is this long, go ahead and go to the next stop (or even country).
Don’t get us wrong, we love School Bread for the thick, creamy vanilla cream, and the shredded coconut on the outside, but there are tons of other snacks we love, too.
Right now, the EPCOT Festival of the Holidays is happening until December 30th, which means there’s even MORE food than normal EPCOT. There are food booths in almost every country, and some at the front of the park with holiday-themed treats and snacks.

Beyond festival booths, which you should totally check out if you’re visiting during a festival, which is almost all the time, there are also lots of restaurants in the different country pavilions and closer to the front of the park. Some of my personal favorites that I won’t shut up about include the Pretzel Nuggets with Beer Cheese at Block & Hans in the American Adventure Pavilion…
…the Pretzel Bread Pudding from Sommerfest in the Germany Pavilion (okay, maybe I just really like pretzels)…
…and literally anything Karamell-Küche because I love caramel and could eat it by the spoonful.

I made a little something special for each Princess at Epcot, hoping to give it to them personally, but being a old Disney Adult, people were actually walking in front of me with little ones. So………i simply rolled pass the line at each Princess spot and asked “handler” to give them my little gift. What was very cool is Snow White was on break and I left my little surprize on the easel in front of her picture. Simply made my day and plan on doing this again Jan 2026.
You are SO right! I would never wait in line for School Bread. It is just okay and there are so many fabulous treats in Epcot! I wouldn’t even know where to start to list them all, but you gave a couple of good alternatives. I have to say when I saw this headline, I was sure you would be referring to Living with the Land after dark. It is one of my favorite Christmas overlays at Disney World. All lit up and just beautiful for a relaxing ride. And that line gets very long after dark.
