It’s been a BIG week for Disney news, but if you’ve only been looking in one place, or focusing on one park, you may have missed some of it!
No worries, though, because that’s what we’re here for! We keep up with all the latest Disney news around the globe to help you keep up-to-date on all the latest, because some of it very well may impact your next trip. While every week is full of Disney news, big and small, here are a few of the BIGGEST announcements you may have missed this week.
EPCOT International Festival of the Holidays
Friday, November 28th, EPCOT kicked off its last festival of the year, the International Festival of the Holidays! This is the park’s shortest festival, only lasting just over a month during the holiday season. You can enjoy dozens of special holiday offerings at the numerous holiday kitchens around the park, as well as enjoy holiday storytellers around World Showcase, and exclusive entertainment like Joyful! and the Candlelight Processional.
Don’t forget to meet Santa in CommuniCore Hall, Santa Goofy in The Odyssey, or Figment in his Christmas sweater over in the Imagination Pavilion! While there are lots of crowds this time of year due to the holiday season, you may find that the festival booths are less crowded than you find at other festivals, and that’s mostly due to the fact that this festival isn’t a favorite among guests. However, during lunch and dinner hours, you’ll find lines are at their longest, so you may want to plan ahead!

World of Frozen Opening Date
We FINALLY got an official opening date for World of Frozen over in Disneyland Paris’ Walt Disney Studios Park, soon to be Disney Adventure World! This new land will open to the public on March 29th, 2026.
This land will look very similar to the one at Hong Kong Disneyland, which we visited a few years back and absolutely blew us away. The attractions? Incredible! The design? Breathtaking. It changed our lives, truly, but we’re so excited to see another version of this land open up in another park!
This will mean there will be Frozen worlds and/or attractions at Hong Kong Disneyland, Tokyo DisneySea, EPCOT at Disney World, and Disneyland Paris.

New Animatronics!
It blew our minds when Disney announced that a brand new Olaf animatronic would be coming to Disneyland Paris’ World of Frozen, too! He looks and moves JUST like he stepped out of the animated film, and it blows our minds. The best part? It’s Josh Gad’s voice, the true voice of Olaf, that we’ll hear coming from the lovable snowman as he walks around the parks!
That’s not all, though, because Disney also announced MORE animatronic technology that they’re working on! Disney mentioned that these animatronics can show emotion by blushing and crying. It was also mentioned that this new technology is “especially transformative for characters who had traditionally challenging features to create, like Mike Wazowski, Lightning McQueen, or Hades.”
Considering we know a new Monsters, Inc. Land is coming to Disney’s Hollywood Studios, as well as Piston Peak, a land inspired by Cars, AND Villains Land coming to Magic Kingdom, we will FLIP if we can see our favorite characters wandering around the parks like Olaf. Genuinely, we think we’d cry happy tears, so we’re crossing our fingers that this technology will be ready in time!

“you may find that the festival booths are less crowded than you find at other festivals, and that’s mostly due to the fact that this festival isn’t a favorite among guests. ” Oh, how I wish that were true. We find the lines at the Holiday booths we go to are just as long and in some places longer than at the Flower and Garden Festive. Now if you want short lines for festival booth food, come to the Art Festival. It is t quick walk-up to any booth from start to finish of the festival. Most people come to look at the art dealer that are all over the park.
