Come along with us as we check out a popular Festival of the Holidays booth — Yukon Holiday Kitchen in Canada!
The 2025 EPCOT Festival of the Holidays has officially begun, and there is a lot to offer. There are plenty of food booths with tasty items, merchandise items to grab (of course), and even concerts to watch. But don’t let it overwhelm you. We’ve got you covered with everything you need to know. Come with us as we visit the popular Yukon Holiday Kitchen in the Canada Pavilion. Is it worth a try? Let’s find out!
Menu
The Yukon Holiday Kitchen is serving up some returning dishes and a new cookie for 2025! Returning to the festival this year is one of our Best of the Fest items from 2024, the Seared Salmon. Also back on the menu this year is the Beef Bourguignon with crushed potatoes. New to this year’s menu — and the Cookie Stroll — is a Maple Leaf Shortbread Cookie with maple buttercream.
Now that we’ve taken a look at the menu, let’s dive into the food itself!
Eats
First, we grabbed the Seared Salmon with butternut squash purée, maple-bourbon glaze, and fennel-arugula salad for $7.50 (or a snack credit on the Dining Plan). This was on our Best of the Fest list last year — will it make it two years in a row? The crispiness on top of the salmon is nice, but it’s got a whole salty and sweet thing going on. The fish itself flakes apart easily, and we loved the smooth butternut squash purée, which also adds some sweetness.
Next, we ordered the returning Beef Bourguignon with crushed potatoes for $7.25. This dish is also a snack credit on the Dining Plan. This is a lovely savory dish with lovely rustic mashed potatoes with the skin on. You get three big chunks of meat that easily pull apart with a fork. The sauce also has a nice herbiness.
The sweet treat here is the all-new Maple Leaf Shortbread Cookie with maple buttercream for $4.00 or a snack credit. This cookie will help you fill out your Cookie Stroll, too! We really wanted to love this cookie more, but there was just something missing. It’s a really good, crumbly shortbread, but it is a little tough. The icing tastes like maple syrup, and we wish there were more of it to balance out the two cookies.
We will say, though, kids are probably going to love this cookie.
Drinks
This year’s beer flight includes two returning beers — 81Bay Brewing Co. Peanut Butter Banana Porter and the Playalinda Brewing Co. Maple Cookie Blonde Ale, and the new for 2025 Collective Arts Brewing Brown Sugar Coffee Porter. You can snag the flight for $12.75, or you can order 6-oz pours for $6.00, and 12-oz pours for $9.75.
You can also order a Frozen Joffrey’s Coffee with or without a boozy twist. The non-boozy version is $5.25, while adding Tap 357 Canadian Maple Rye Whisky to the frozen coffee takes the price to $12.75. So the consistency of this is like a frozen hot chocolate, but with a milky coffee flavor. You can also choose to get it with or without whipped cream. Of course, we got the whipped cream, which adds an additional creaminess to it. This is a nice sweet treat, but it’s been cold in Florida, and we don’t think we love it when it’s a bit chilly out.
The drink menu is rounded out by a Regional Ice Wine for $14.50…
…and a Regional Red Wine for $11.50.
OVERALL
One thing we really loved about this booth is that there are some nice savory things that balance out all the cookies and sweet treats we’ve been eating at other food booths (although there are sweet treats here). The salmon, though, is the real standout, and if you love salmon, we think you’ll be pleased with this dish.
That’s it for this booth, but there’s a LOT more where that came from!
