REVIEW: This Funnel Cake Takes Red Velvet to the NEXT Level, and You Can Get It at the EPCOT Festival of the Holidays

It’s holiday funnel cake time at the EPCOT Festival of the Holidays!

The 2025 EPCOT Festival of the Holidays has officially begun, and there is a lot to offer. There are plenty of food booths with tasty items, merchandise items to grab (of course), and even concerts to watch. But don’t let it overwhelm you. We’ve got you covered with everything you need to know. And now we’re heading to the Funnel Cake stand to check out this year’s specialty item! Is it worth a try? Let’s find out!

Eats

This booth is just one item — Funnel Cake! The Red Velvet Cookie Funnel Cake is topped with powdered sugar, vanilla ice cream, cream cheese whipped cream, red velvet cookie pieces, mini chocolate chips, and chocolate syrup. You can grab this funnel cake for $12.50. We were very intrigued by this flavor for the funnel cake, and we thought it was delicious!

The funnel cake itself is crispy on the outside with a great fluffiness to the inside. It is topped with some creamy vanilla ice cream with cream cheese whipped cream. Yep, you read that right, this whipped cream is cream cheese flavored. We thought it was wonderful, it tasted just like a sweet cream cheese, and it was fluffier and creamier than normal whipped cream.

Then, it is topped with miniature chocolate chips and red velvet cookie pieces. These toppings were fantastic, and the red velvet cookie pieces tasted a lot like the red velvet cookies you can get from Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party. Plus, you get a bit of crunch and chocolate flavor from the miniature chocolate chips.

OVERALL

We think this funnel cake was delicious, and it is also a fantastic option for kids! It is one of our favorite desserts at the Festival of the Holidays and definitely worth a stop by the Funnel Cake stand. We loved the combination of toppings and the flavors worked really well together. We will likely be thinking about this funnel cake for a while!
