I honestly think Disney World might be built out of gingerbread at this point. From incredible displays at the resorts, to tons and tons of gingerbread snacks, I feel like the castle will start crumbling from the royal icing keeping it together!
Gingerbread time!
Over at Amorette’s Patisserie in Disney Springs, we had our eye on a gingerbread treat we saw last time, so we knew we had to come back and give it a whirl!
We tried the Gingerbread House Petit Cake for $24. It’s made with Gingerbread Chiffon, Marshmallow Mousse, Milk Chocolate Mousse, Salted Caramel Crispy Pearls, and M&M’s Milk Chocolate Minis.
Gingerbread House Petit Cake
First, we have to talk about how incredible this looks. We love Amorette’s beautifully detailed desserts, and this is no exception. It truly looks like this little gingerbread man lives in this house (wait, living in a house made of gingerbread? Is that weird?).

When we took a bite, we tasted a light gingerbread flavor that wasn’t overpowering. The cake was a bit on the dry side, but it was still light and fluffy. Both the chocolate and marshmallow mousse added a creamy, smooth texture, but the milk chocolate had a stronger flavor, with the marshmallow peeking in at the end.
Look at those layers
The crispy pearls at the bottom were hidden beneath the mousse but added a fun crunch. It was almost a surprise because you can’t immediately see it! While this might not be a dessert you need to rush over for, if you’re at Amorette’s and want a fun holiday treat with a gingerbread flavor, this could be the dessert for you.
