It looks like we’re getting closer and closer to some construction walls coming down in Disney’s Hollywood Studios, and that day can’t arrive fast enough!
It’s coming along!
While the former Muppets Courtyard (becoming a new Monsters, Inc. Land, tentatively named Monstropolis) still has a ways to go, as does Animation Courtyard while it’s undergoing its large refurbishment, we’ve also been looking forward to the new snack stand coming to Toy Story Land for what feels like FOREVER now. It’s looking like things are moving along well, because we just got a GREAT updated look at the new spot!
We don’t know exactly what the new snack stand is called, but we do know it’s shaped like a giant popcorn container tipped on its side. Based on the wording we can see on the building, it looks like it’ll serve popcorn AND some other snacks, though we’re not totally sure what they’ll be.
Now it’s much easier to see!
Previously, the shrubs around this project were VERY high, making it super difficult to see the progress. Now, though, the shrubs are much shorter, and it’s no secret that the snack stand is coming along very well. Disney hasn’t yet announced when this snack stand will open, but we’re crossing our fingers it’ll be sooner rather than later.
It looks great!
Something we really love is the details — it looks like toothpicks are holding the popcorn container in place, which matches perfectly with the theme of this land, because it’s all that Andy has made in his backyard! You’ve been shrunk down to the size of a toy, so everything looks massive.

I wish they would the Honey I Shrunk the Kids play area. I remember it fondly with my daughter growing up. They should bring back the Honey I Shrunk the Audience while they are at it. Incredible attraction.
