MAJOR Hollywood Star Joins the Cast of Pixar’s Next Film

A member of Hollywood royalty has officially been confirmed as part of Pixar’s next film!

In late November 2025, the studio confirmed that the legendary Meryl Streep is joining the cast of the Emeryville, California-based studio’s 2026 film Hoppers.

According to Pixar’s social media accounts, Streep – a three-time Oscar winner, amongst a litany of other accolades – will be voicing The Insect Queen in the film.

Set to be released on March 6th, Hoppers – from writer-director Daniel Chong – follows Mabel, an “animal lover who seizes an opportunity to use the technology, uncovering mysteries within the animal world that are beyond anything she could have imagined.”

Streep joins a cast that also includes Piper Curda, Dave Franco, Bobby Moynihan, Jon Hamm, Kathy Najimy, Eduardo Franco, Melissa Villaseñor, Ego Nwodim, Vanessa Bayer, Sam Richardson, Aparna Nancherla, Nichole Sakura, Isiah Whitlock Jr., Steve Purcell, Karen Huie and Tom Law.

The confirmation of Streep’s role in Hoppers comes on the heels of other major Disney celebrity voice casting news, as the company has confirmed in recent weeks that Michael J. Fox and professional wrestlers CM Punk and Roman Reigns are appearing in the studio’s November 2025 release Zootopia 2.
