If TSA PreCheck has zero fans, it means we’re dead. After all, it’s basically a Lightning Lane for airport security. Folks with TSA PreCheck get to skip the standby lines at airport security, all while skipping some of the other tasks typically required at security.
But, what if we told you that there’s an even EASIER version of TSA PreCheck that barely requires you to lift a finger? Well, there is, and it’s a total game-changer.
It’s true — there’s an even faster way to get through airport security than just with regular TSA PreCheck! Our fearless leader, AJ, recently flew through LaGuardia Airport in New York City and used the Touchless Identity Solution option. This is a relatively new service being offered that can save you even more time — not many people know about it or are using it yet, which means the lines for this option are pretty short (or at least, they were when AJ flew through LaGuardia!).
Essentially, TSA PreCheck Touchless ID is an enhanced screening process that uses facial comparison technology for more efficient identity verification. Those enrolled can use dedicated lines for a smoother and more convenient airport experience.
TSA PreCheck Touchless ID requires:
- Active airline profile with a participating airline
- Current TSA PreCheck traveler
- Valid passport information uploaded to your airline profile
It’s available to current TSA PreCheck travelers with a valid passport at select security checkpoints and airports — passengers must opt in with participating airlines and airports, which can be found below:
- Alaska Airlines (ATL, DCA, DEN, LAX, PDX, SEA, SLC)
- American Airlines (ATL, DCA, DEN, DFW, EWR, LAS, LGA, PDX, SEA, SLC)
- Delta Air Lines (ATL, DCA, DEN, DTW, EWR, JFK, LAS, LAX, LGA, PDX, SEA, SLC)

Keep in mind that you’ll still want to carry your physical ID in case of any hiccups. Check out the video below to learn more!

I recently used this and it was fabulous. Totally skipped the long Pre-check line (everyone is getting Pre-check now). I just wish it was at more airports. I have Christmas travel coming and it’s only at my departing airport, not the return.
