Disney+ has changed quite a bit since it first rolled out in 2019, and it doesn’t sound like those changes will be stopping anytime soon.
We recently saw a new horizontal navigation bar with separate tabs for “For You,” Disney+, Hulu, and ESPN roll out, and Disney is promising more personalized recommendations, too, based on what you’ve watched in the past. But, during a recent earnings call, Disney revealed that even more personalization is on the way — with some help from AI.
The Walt Disney Company held its earnings call for Q4 and the entirety of fiscal year 2025 on November 13th, and we learned a bit more about the future of Disney+. During the question-and-answer portion of the call, CEO Bob Iger and CFO Hugh Johnston were asked about how Disney+ subscribers would be able to engage with parks and other assets (like Disney Cruise Line) on the app.
Iger said that Disney+ is in the midst of rolling out the biggest and most significant changes to the app in terms of products. He continued by saying that there would be even greater personalization in the future with a more dynamic Disney+ overall.
Disney has already turned Hulu into its premier “global entertainment brand,” and they are looking to create a “one app experience” with the help of Artificial Intelligence to create a “portal to all things Disney.”
In addition, there is also an opportunity for more commerce on the app — meaning you’ll be able to shop Disney products directly from Disney+, as well as content and integration that will entice people to visit the theme parks and Disney Cruise Line.
Plus, with the recent EPIC Games partnership, there are also opportunities for games to be added to the app (though Iger did add that a majority of this partnership will be based on EPIC platforms).
The final thing Iger said regarding Disney+ changes was that he was excited about AI being able to provide users with an “engaged experience,” with future opportunities to potentially create and consume user-generated content from others.
Of course, we don’t have many more details about potential AI integration or what that might look like, but we’ll let you know if that changes.
We’ll be on the lookout for more Disney+ updates you need to know about! In the meantime, stay tuned to the Disney Food Blog for the latest Disney news and more.

Whenever Egor speaks……..We pay more at Disney !
I was just about to sign up for Disney+ but have zero confidence in AI. Extremely disappointed to learn Disney has decided to use it. Since they seldom release movies to DVD anymore, had wanted to see fave titles on their website but guess I will have to do without. I don’t believe in supporting what I don’t like a company doing so I will save my money. Another disappointing decision from Disney…..
