Hello from the Disney Destiny! We are officially cruising on Disney Cruise Line’s brand new ship, and we’re already living it up and enjoying its whole heroes and villains vibe.
Now that heroic and villainous theme means we’re getting a LOT of Marvel representation on this ship, and that includes a very special Marvel-themed The Sanctum, themed around Doctor Strange. So let’s go inside and see what kind of strange magic Doctor Strange is brewing up.
Up until now, The Sanctum has remained quite a mystery in both the Marvel Cinematic Universe and the Disney Destiny. But we did recently get a bit of a sneak peek of the artifacts that Doctor Strange has stashed inside. Now, though, it’s time to see it for ourselves.
The Sanctum is more than just a lounge, though. It also features some tableside performances by mixology sorcerers and the like. We got to see a bit of one when we visited, and it was fantastic! The drinks all look incredible, and we don’t know how we’ll decide which ones to try first.
Of course, you can also indulge in some food and drinks inspired by the mystical arts. Drinks will include a variety of alcoholic beverages, mocktails, spirits, and coffee. From their menu, there are eight alcoholic beverages available, one zero-proof drink, two non-alcoholic offerings, Mushroom Coffee, two dining options (including waffles, yes please!), and six different wines.
One of our other favorite parts about the lounge is all the different types of seating!
There are large booths, smaller tables with comfortable chairs, and a few seating areas that are tucked away, so you’ve really got to look hard to find them.
We’re happy to finally peel back the curtain of The Sanctum and show it to you. We’ll be posting even MORE details about the Disney Destiny while we’re onboard, so stay tuned to DFB for more.

Disclosure: In nearly all circumstances, Disney Food Blog writers and photographers pay full price for their own travel, hotel, food, beverage, and event tickets. We do this because it’s important to us as journalists to ensure not only that we give you unbiased opinions, but also that you can trust us to do so since we’re paying our own way. On rare occasions, when we are invited by a company to attend a preview as media, and when we choose to accept that invitation, we will always make you, our readers, aware of that situation. Today, we were invited by Disney Cruise Line to attend a media preview of the Disney Destiny. Note that when we attend events as media we are 1) Not required to review that event/food on any of our channels, and 2) Not required to review that event/food favorably. You can always count on DFB to give you a 100% unbiased and honest review of any event that we attend, food that we eat, or beverage that we drink. You can see more in our Disclosure Policy. All of these lounges look and sound great, but I don’t drink, and neither does my wife so you have lost me for several or more lounges. How about lesser expensive Ice Cream Parlors. I would visit there. Disney seems to be focused on booze there days.
