Anyone want to PARTY? Well, this party is actually happening in a place called Zootopia, but we’re tuning in virtually to celebrate. Confused? Don’t worry — we can explain. We’re ready to celebrate Zoogether Day, and the day has finally come: the newest addition to Disney’s Animal Kingdom, Zootopia: Better Zoogether!, is HERE.

The new attraction has been on our radar since it was first announced in 2023. While we love the movies, we’re eager to see if the new show can live up to the “screaming children” expectations that It’s Tough To Be A Bug set. We had to stop by the park to check out the brand-new attraction, and we’re giving you a FIRST LOOK inside, along with tons of new information. Let’s get straight into it!
Zootopia: Better Zoogether! is located in the Tree of Life theatre, where “It’s Tough to Be a Bug” used to live. The show offers all sorts of 4D fun as you step into the world of Zootopia, where you can expect to see all types of performances by animals from all biomes.

We’re checking out the new attraction later today, but first, Disney has shared tons of new photos of the attraction! Starting off strong, we got a look at the brand-new sign for the attraction, which even features Clawhauser and Flash from the movie. As you can see, there will be a Lightning Lane to skip the line at this attraction. The Zootopia: Better Zoogether! show will be part of the Lightning Lane Multi Pass service.

The new sign!
We also saw pictures of the new queue and got to check it out ourselves! There are displays throughout the waiting area to keep guests entertained. They even had “Pawdora” jewelry for you to check out. LOL — good one, Disney!

There were tons of Zoogether Day posters throughout the queue, all explaining what the day is and what it celebrates!

So many posters!
There was a bulletin board with tons of posters, buttons, and even newspaper clippings with tons of nods to the show. We even saw a “Preybill,” which is a nod to the old posters that were in the Tough To Be A Bug attraction. In the old attraction, they had tons of musical and theatrical posters in the queue that were an homage to real shows, so we were thrilled to see this subtle callback!

We also got to see the new “Carrot Vision” glasses! Spoiler alert: they’re the same as the old glasses.

Disney shared photos of the first previews, and guests seemed to be really getting into it! (Do you think they knew that they were being photographed? Probably…)

We stepped inside the Tree of Life theater and couldn’t wait to watch it all ourselves! The theater and seats still looked very similar to the seats from the previous show.

Inside the new show!
OK, so what is Zootopia Day, anyway? Zootopia Day was created to celebrate the animals’ “right to party” and is hosted by Heidi Howler. As visitors, we are invited to tune in to the party via a “livestream,” so we can celebrate inside the theater. The host, Heidi Howler, even uses a t-shirt cannon during the festivities!

Hi, Heidi!
Clawhauser helps Heidi introduce the acts while trying to become the V.I.Z. (Very Important Zootopian – the lucky mammal who will get special access to the Zoogether Day performers).

Clawhauser!
Not every act goes perfectly, so Nick Wilde and Judy Hopps swoop in to help things along the way.
The day is almost here for Zootopia Better Together!! A NEW addition in Animal Kingdom will be open to the public next week 🤩🤩 Which character are you excited to see in the show? 😏 pic.twitter.com/3xWEomVmxs

Plus, there’s a new song that shares the message, “We love what we’ve got! It’s a melting pot!” Characters sing “We are Zoo-nited in every way. Neighbor to Neighbor. Prey and prey.” It’s hard to get it without the music in the background, but trust us, it’s catchy.

A look at the new show!
This song is sure to get stuck in our heads. We’re so happy the show is finally here! It’s the first of a few new attractions coming to the park, so the future is exciting for Animal Kingdom. We’re going to see this thing many times, and we think it’s going to be a staple for many years to come. For more Disney news and updates, make sure to stay tuned to the Disney Food Blog!
