FINALLY! Construction Walls Are Officially DOWN at the New Snack Stand in Magic Kingdom

THIS IS NOT A DRILL! Something NEW is landing at Magic Kingdom, and we are about to take off to check it out!

We’re stepping into Tomorrowland at Magic Kingdom to check on AstroFizz, a new snack kiosk that is replacing the long-standing Cool Ship, which closed in May 2025. All of Cool Ship was demolished and rebuilt with a fresh new look. That resulted in walls being put up in that area. (They weren’t cute!) However, we’re here to tell you that those walls are finally DOWN!

Let’s start by saying that we will miss Cool Ship — it’s been a part of the park (and misting us with water) for over 30 years. That said, count us in for new snacks, treats, and drinks! Progress has been moving rapidly over the past few days. Yesterday, we noticed that they officially put up the sign for AstroFizz, and today, we saw that there are no more construction walls surrounding the kiosk. That means for the first time, we got to see the new kiosk in full glory — look at this new, modernized retro look!

We had to walk up to get a closer look and saw the electronic sign with the posted hours. We’re assuming this will be the menu screen while the kiosk is open.

It feels so different — wait until you see this in person! Even though it has a modern style, it still has a retro ’50s look and feel to it, which we really like.

You can actually hop onto the My Disney Experience app, and you’ll see that AstroFizz officially shows up on the map — COMING SOON (*silent screech*).

Speaking of “coming soon”, when does AstroFizz open? Well, Disney World released its full list of menus for Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party, and the event runs on select nights from November 7th through 21st (yes, that soon). The list of menu items included a special party-exclusive snack at AstroFizz, a Cherry-White Chocolate Slushy. That means we expect this place to open any day now!

AstroFizz will have to be open by November 7th at the LATEST! So, it appears that it will be officially open on that date, or possibly sooner if Disney chooses to do so. The snack stand is going to be brought to you by Coca-Cola and will have “buttery popcorn and fluffy cotton candy” along with “frozen slushies or assorted Coca-Cola Fountain Beverages.” Take a look at the slushies!

We already know the unique Cherry Cola Churro is going to be POPULAR! It’s a churro rolled in cherry sugar, drizzled with Coca-Cola Cherry icing, and topped with cherry popping candies.
