According to multiple sources, including Deadline, Disneyland Resort has laid off about 100 Cast Members.

These Cast Members were from multiple departments and include “a limited number of salaried positions.”
A spokesperson from Disneyland shared this statement with Deadline:
“With our business in a period of steady, sustained operation, we are recalibrating our organization to ensure we continue to deliver exceptional experiences to our guests, while positioning Disneyland Resort for the future.”

This is not the first round of layoffs this year. 115 employees were laid off earlier in the year who worked for the Disney Store (previously known as shopDisney). In 2023, Disney laid off about 7,000 employees, which was one of the largest we’ve seen in recent years.

In early 2025, Disneyland Cast Members filed a class-action lawsuit against Disney, and the parties settled for $233 million. They claim they were being underpaid under an Anaheim law.
