We will be the first ones to admit to you that we’ve easily been influenced by many of the “essentials” we see for Disney Adults. That’s who we are, so we’re not here to argue when fellow Disney fans tell us what we need!

Well, we might not question them, but there are some “essentials” we’ve tried out that we’ve then realized we 100% don’t need, BUT, at the same time…who are we to define the word “need?” Sometimes you don’t NEED a sweet treat, but after a rough day, or a day where everything has gone right, it kinda feels like a necessity, right? Are soggy shoes the end of the world in Disney World? No, not at all, but it FEELS LIKE IT. Especially when you’re at risk of developing blisters that could then cause you some pretty intense pain over the rest of your trip. That’s where the Silicone Waterproof Shoe Covers come in. These were 100% something we kinda laughed at at first, thinking they were totally not worth it, and then when we walked through a downpour in them and our socks and shoes stayed dry? Yeah, we got spoiled and now realize what it feels like to live like royalty (…for $17). Why have soggy, gross, uncomfortable shoes and socks when you could, you know, not?

All the AC You Need Without Needing to Go Inside

The number of fans we’ve tried out in Disney World is pretty astronomical, to be honest with you, and while we often find lots that are just fine, or sure, they do they’re job, we’re rarely taken aback by one that REALLY works well. That all changed when we tried this AMKEN Waist Fan, because WOW, is this thing powerful. We found it most helpful when we clipped it onto shorts and had it blowing up our back all day to keep us cool, and as long as you won’t be annoyed by the slight excess weight and the sound of it running, this thing is totally worth it to stay cool. Especially if you’re someone who sweats a lot or just hates the FEELING of sweat (it’s me — I’m that person; I can’t stand it), this is totally a necessity. Sure, could you survive Disney World in the summer without it? We guess, but do you want to be hot and miserable on your vacation or have some relief?

Save Yourself the Back Pain

Speaking of sweat, have you ever taken off your backpack in Disney World only to feel a sweat patch the size of Seven Seas Lagoon on your back? Yeah, we’ve been there too — NOT fun, not cute, and just not comfortable. Not to mention that if you’re someone who has to carry around a large backpack for any reason, or a person who suffers from back pain, the VentaPak is totally for you. Sure, we have cell phones now that can take phenomenal pictures in daylight and at nighttime, but we talk about missing our childhoods all the time, especially in Disney World. You know what the best way to bring back some of that nostalgia is? An Instant Camera, absolutely! (Oh, were you thinking something different, like bringing back Horizons? Well, we agree, but the moment we rub a lamp and get three wishes, that’s first on our list. Otherwise, miracles will have to wait.)
