Buckle up if you’re heading to Walt Disney World in November. From seasonal events to massive attraction changes, the month is set to be a game-changer for the “Most Magical Place on Earth.” Oh, and here’s the first thing you need to know — it’s Christmas in Disney World! Yes, we know you haven’t even bought your Thanksgiving turkey yet, but if you’re headed to Disney World, be prepared for red and green wreaths on Main Street, U.S.A. and the giant tree in your hotel lobby (at least by the middle of the month).
I’ve been covering Disney World for 7+ years, and I can remember few years with quite a much change as 2025. There have been construction announcements, permanent closures, and the transformation of classic rides — all of which will continue in November.
Zootopia: Better Zoogether Opening
November 7th will see the opening of Zootopia: Better Zoogether in Animal Kingdom.
Replacing opening day staple It’s Tough to Be a Bug (which closed earlier this year) inside the Tree of Life, this new 3D film is set to bring guests into the popular film series through Zoogether Day, which celebrates “unity amongst the diverse biomes across the city” and features “special performances such as ice-skating spectaculars from the heart of Tundratown! Synchronized swimming direct from Marsh Market! Tiny mouse drone shows soaring over Little Rodentia! And of course, a musical finale by superstar Gazelle – all of which we’ll see from the livestream watch party.” The new attraction will mark a major step in the on-going transformation of Animal Kingdom.
Very Merry 2025
One of Walt Disney World’s most beloved holiday institutions — Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party — is set to make its 2025 debut on November 7th.
This year’s edition of the party will feature returning favorites including Mickey’s Once Upon a Christmas Parade, Minnie’s Wonderful Christmastime Fireworks, characters in their Christmas best, and even snow (AKA snoap) on Main Street. It continues on these select dates:
- November: 10th, 11th, 13th, 14th, 16th, 18th, 20th, 21st, 25th, 26th, 28th, and 30th
- December: 2nd, 4th, 5th, 7th, 9th, 11th, 12th, 14th, 16th, 18th, 19th, and 21st
Remember that you’ll need a separate ticket for Magic Kingdom’s Christmas Party, and we are starting to see dates sell out. So if you’re wanting to go, it’s best to make your plans soon. And if you’re not going to the party but planning a trip to Magic Kingdom — know that the park will close at 6 PM on those party days and plan accordingly!
Jollywood Nights
Speaking of events that require a separate ticket…Jollywood Nights at Hollywood Studios starts on November 8th this year.
Jollywood Nights also runs November 15th, 17th, 22nd, 24th, and 29th, as well as December 1st, 6th, 10th, 13th, 17th, 20th and 22nd. The event will feature holiday entertainment, including the Jingle Bell, Jingle BAM! fireworks and projections spectacular, a live holiday special hosted by Kermit the Frog and Miss Piggy, and a Nightmare Before Christmas sing-a-long hosted by Jack Skellington.
Ratatouille Reopening
EPCOT’s popular ride Remy’s Ratatouille Adventure is set to close for three days on November 10th, and then reopen with a whole new look… literally.
When the ride reopens on the 13th, the experience will have been converted from a 3D experience to an enhanced 2D experience, meaning NO MORE PAINFUL GLASSES! According to Disney, further props and lightning effects will be added over the coming months. Game-changing indeed.
Let the Holiday Festivities Begin
Finally, just before the month ends, the EPCOT International Festival of the Holidays will begin!
To many, the day after Thanksgiving is Black Friday, but for Disney fans, this November 28th marks the launch of EPCOT’s Holiday celebration. Running until December 30th, the festival features global holiday celebrations, foods, treats, and of course EPCOT’s iconic Candlelight Processional — a retelling of the Biblical story of Christmas with a choir, orchestra and celebrity narrator.
The DFB Team will be at EPCOT bright and early on November 28th to bring you all the food, drinks, merchandise and entertainment of this festival! Watch for all of our coverage! In the meantime, you can check out our festival video from last year to get into the spirit!
November 2025 is set to be a huge month for Walt Disney World, setting the stage for the year ahead. Stay tuned to DFB for more Disney news!
