REVIEW: This Unique Disney World Treat Just Got a Upgrade in the France Pavilion

I’m holding onto fall as long as I can possibly can before the twinkling holiday lights start being strung across Disney World. For me, that means eating more seasonal treats!

Seasonal Macaron

We headed to L’Artisan des Glaces in the France Pavilion in EPCOT to try out a seasonal treat to see if you should stop here next time in the World Showcase.

The Seasonal Macaron right now is Pumpkin and costs $8.95. It’s a pumpkin macaron with vanilla and pumpkin ice cream sandwiched in the middle.

Pumpkin Macaron

Something fun about this macaron is that this is the only way to get the pumpkin ice cream this year. It’s currently not available for individual scoops, but in the macaron, it’s half pumpkin, half vanilla. It’s a black and white cookie where it’s half and half, right down the middle. The ice cream was very frozen and not as smooth as we usually prefer it, but the outside of the macaron is super soft. We found it a little difficult to eat with the soft outside pushing out the hard ice cream, so you might want to wait a few moments before diving right in. It does get messier once it gets softer, but the flavors were great.

Half vanilla, half pumpkin

The macaron is super sugary and leaves a sweet aftertaste in your mouth. The ice cream is smoother once it melts, and the vanilla contrasts nicely with the pumpkin macaron and pumpkin ice cream. The ice cream has a stronger pumpkin flavor and wasn’t as sugary as the macaron, which helped balance it out. Pumpkin fans will definitely want to try this one out! While it’s a little pricy, it’s a fun and unique treat that you can grab during your EPCOT day.
