It may only be October for us, and we’re preparing for spooky season, but at Give Kids The World Village, an 89-acre, nonprofit “storybook” resort in Central Florida where children with critical illnesses and their families are treated to weeklong, cost-free vacations, something is being celebrated every day!
As the holiday season is right around the corner, we got the incredible opportunity to check out the village’s signature Christmas Lights and learn about some of the special events happening at the village this holiday season!
We look forward to these incredible holiday lights every single year, because WOW are they beautiful! Just look at how above and beyond they go to make this Village truly feel like a winter wonderland.
Give Kids the World Village is hosting several events this holiday season that you can attend! Join Give Kids The World Village in changing lives and spreading joy by attending their festive and merry holiday fundraising events! All proceeds will help fund weeklong, cost-free vacations for children with critical illnesses and their families. First up is the Gingerbread Run happening on November 8th at 6pm. During this event, you can walk, run, roll, or stroll through the gorgeous lights at the village. There will also be a DJ and local food trucks to grab tasty bites from! You can register online here. Can’t attend in person? There is also the option to participate as a virtual runner!
If ice cream for breakfast sounds like a good time, then you need to add Ice Cream for Breakfast with Santa to your calendar. This event is happening on December 6th and 7th. The village is inviting the community to the village to enjoy some ice cream and meet Santa. Join Give Kids The World Village for their annual Ice Cream for Breakfast with Santa, it’s the perfect way to kick off the holiday season. Indulge in ice cream sundaes, holiday crafts, mini golf, rides, and more! Plus, photos with Santa and Mrs. Claus, along with Village characters! Tickets start at just $20.
The village is also hosting Holiday Nights on December 20th and 21st from 6 PM until 10 PM. You can enjoy the village lights and holiday music from CFCArts. There will also be food trucks, and the rides will be open! General admission is $40 for adults and $30 for children. You can get tickets for this event right here.
There are also other ways you can support Give Kids the World Village this holiday season! Give Kids the World offers an Adopt-a-Tree program, allowing families, businesses, organizations, schools, and clubs to decorate a tree on-site. Not only will you help support Give Kids the World, but your brand will also be displayed during the holiday season!
Finally, you can also support Give Kids the World by purchasing products from Theme Park Candles. This local business, based in Clermont, offers a variety of products, including an entire line dedicated to the smells of Give Kids the World Village. And 50% of their profits are donated to Give Kids the World! You can find scents inspired by Disney and Disney Princesses. These are perfect for bringing a bit of Disney to your home, or getting some as gifts for others.
We also had the chance to explore the area known as the Avenue and check out some of the rides here (yes, there are rides!). This area truly is incredible, and we’re so grateful it’s here to bring families who have been through so much unforgettable vacations.

We do this because it’s important to us as journalists to ensure not only that we give you unbiased opinions, but also that you can trust us to do so since we’re paying our own way. On rare occasions, when we are invited by a company to attend a preview as media, and when we choose to accept that invitation, we will always make you, our readers, aware of that situation. Today, we were invited by Give Kids The World Village to attend their media preview of their holiday season. Note that when we attend events as media we are 1) Not required to review that event/food on any of our channels, and 2) Not required to review that event/food favorably. You can always count on DFB to give you a 100% unbiased and honest review of any event that we attend, food that we eat, or beverage that we drink. You can see more in our Disclosure Policy.
